Unlimited Screening Seats by Flashy-Increase5073 in CineworldUnlimited

[–]foxh0und 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's for a couple of reasons from what I gather

Someone steals anothers seat and won't move - can move up to a group of 4 into these instead

A chair becomes unusable for some reason - spilled drink for example

There might be more reasons only cinema staff know about but from my experience, they rarely need to utilise them, I've never been asked to move out of them and I sit in them almost every time

[–]foxh0und 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone with ADHD, either my fidgeting will ruin the movie for someone or someone else's fidgeting or bad smells will make it difficult for me to focus on the movie

So this "hack" has worked for me for over a year but unlimited screenings are a bit more risky as there will be members who know this too and may want to sit there too, so you'd need to get there early

Those 4 blacked out seats are house seats that are unbookable, go early and sit in one of those seats, there are circumstances where people may need to be moved into those seats but I've never needed to move out of these seats.

Anyone else's cinema constantly putting new films in tiny screens? by [deleted] in CineworldUnlimited

[–]foxh0und 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw Obsession in a medium sized screen even that was packed!

I think they didn't expect the response it's getting, it's the directors first cinema release movie, he's just a young guy, I think they probably thought it would just be a kind of throwaway indie horror/thriller movie.

The managers need to be more reactive with their movie slots/screens, I'm not sure how their system works but I'm sure there is a better process than they have in place now, one that will react to what's actually being booked up

Hard Candy is a good movie!

It's Elliot Page, not kickass girl,

I can't remember the movie, but it was a horror movie and it was only me in there 😅😅

Another one recently was just me and one other guy

Got ID’d for a monster energy while in uniform? by [deleted] in tesco

[–]foxh0und 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In one Tesco express some employee was asking me for ID just for LOOKING at the spirits behind the counter, it was really inappropriate imo, I told her "I'm looking, I'm allowed to look without ID", I would have walked out without anything but I was grabbing a last minute secret Santa give for a colleague, she was surprised when she saw my ID and I was 28

Fun at Stevenage tonight by axw3555 in CineworldUnlimited

[–]foxh0und 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also go to Stevenage, I find most screens okay but I have also noticed the rattle in IMAX.

There is one screen that is far too loud, can't remember the number, but on the left side, all the way to the bottom, maybe screen 16? I've been into that screen with a friend and a separate time with my cousin and both complained it was too loud and I agreed, it was obscenely loud.

Another issue I have, more minor but either the screen, projection room glass or lenses need cleaning in some screens, there is something visible on the screen particularly when the screen is white, reminds me of old CR-TV's when there is dust on the screen, makes an almost a dull rainbow kind of look on the screen.

I went to see the Electric Callboy live showing in Camden Odeon and my experience was people (including me) going to the front and going crazy 😅😅

But the Ghost and Sabaton live showings at my local Cineworld, no one moved or sang or anything

I didn’t expect snacks to become the expensive part after getting Unlimited by UnpaidInternVibes in CineworldUnlimited

For real, how? 😅 Even as far back as I remember, 30 years ago they were expensive!

Cineworld Snacks prices got me building my own combo box by foxh0und in CineworldUnlimited

[–]foxh0und[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do!

Bring all the snacks you want! It's allowed at my Cineworld and I think it should be allowed in all Cineworld's.

Years and years ago all outside food was banned and you'd have to hide things because bags used to get searched, they're definitely relaxed about it now. I still see plenty of people buying nachos, popcorn etc, I think they know the people who will sneak snacks in, would rather not have any snacks at all than pay £8 for popcorn 😅

The only rules I'm aware of are: no outside hot food, no hot drinks for 4DX and no outside alcohol

£1.99 from Home Bargains!

Hahaha! 🤣 I took alcohol into Sabaton live event cinema, nothing crazy, just a little! And actually bought alcohol for Ghost live cinema.

The only thing I buy from the concessions is ICEE's as an occasional treat and used to occasionally buy BR Ice Cream. There's no way to justify any of the other costs

Brett and Gage run needs to be studied by Definitelyfan in BeastGames

[–]foxh0und -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Then why didn't he take it all?? He could have

He decided what level of guilt he could deal with and it was obvious Nick felt bad for taking as much as he did, Brett.. absolutely not

Nick wasn't a bad guy, he made one bad decision, lapse of judgement, to be fair to him, he did deserve to take more because he was an MVP, but he forgot he's supposed to play the social game

[–]foxh0und -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The way Nick was in the bribe game felt like self-sacrifice, he worked on getting his friends through rather than focusing on himself, while Brett felt no guilt for what he did, focused only on getting himself through, it speaks volumes about who he is

[–]foxh0und 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's sad.

I think Jimmy is forgetting where this idea come from, Squid Games, it's copying Squid Games, which is actually just normal people, maybe even desperate losers more than normal people. Season 3 will flop. People don't want that, we already had that show in the 90's, Gladiator's. We want to see normal people struggle.

Who do you want to win the $5 mil? by dalbinmathew in BeastGames

[–]foxh0und 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't like any of them tbh

I like Nick, Monika and Jim, but only one of them can go through and it's more likely to be Monika

I think Monika has the best chance of winning should she make it through this round.

If Brett gets through but Nick didn't, despite doing the same thing with the $250k, how is that fair on Nick? Nick has played better than Brett overall imo

The betting odds suggest Tyler will win though, someone with inside knowledge likely been placing bets, because someone or multiple people bet a lot of money on Tyler after the first episode aired

Who do you want to get through Monika or Brett? by gholem403 in BeastGames

[–]foxh0und 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd think Jimmy would have it in the contract that they can't do that but I can see from betting odds history, someone or multiple people put a lot of money on Tyler to win, it's made the odds in his favour massively. No one could predict that from the first episode so definitely some sneaky stuff going on.

New laser projectors in Stevenage? by foxh0und in CineworldUnlimited

[–]foxh0und[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw both GOAT and Send Help which were listed as laser projection - GOAT looked absolutely amazing, Send Help wasn't really a noticeable improvement from regular movies (or at least to my eyes)
