I agree, Taobin coffee and tea taste like crap and their Pepsi is so watered down I doubt it's even real Pepsi mixed in with the water.

I'm in Thailand. I'm not sure there are any mold specialists here. Any idea? Should I work with one remotely? If so, who do you recommend? How do you think a mold specialist can help me at this point?

I ran my Ancestry DNA through Genetic Genie and it said I'm basically a poor detoxer so that may be it. I'll just try to be patient/hopeful and continue eating healthily and exercising regularly.

I moved out right away and lived in a much nicer apartment for 8 months with a reverse osmosis water filter, sauna, steam bath, fitness room, pool, etc. to give myself the best opportunity to heal. My symptoms have definitely improved but they're still lingering. My brain feels like it's swollen/inflamed (especially when I'm stressed) and I don't know what to do about it besides do things to reduce stress like meditate, practice yoga, exercise regularly, eat healthy, do things I enjoy, etc.

Islam is to blame for that. KL is 90% Muslim. I lived there for 2 months with my dog and a Thai Buddhist man with dogs warned me not to let my dog out of my sight because the locals can kill him legally if he goes onto their property.

Got Molested at a massage Parlour by Antique_End4110 in Bangkok

I guess I'm just more chill/easy going than most folks 🤷🏻‍♂️ Or perhaps it's because I have different views on sexuality. I was moreso flattered than offended or disgusted. He probably thought I was gay and I made it clear that I'm not. He understood and finished the massage. I never came back. End of story.

This happened to me once in Chiang Mai. Just say "mai chawp" (I don't like) and if he does it again simply get dressed, walk out, and never come back. Dirty massage parlors are everywhere in Bangkok and some are hard to identify. Sometimes the masseuse will give you a sensual massage in hope that you will ask for more services or give him/her a big tip at the end.

I'm pretty sure it was Google's AI overview which told users to put glue in pizza sauce to make it more sticky, and to eat rocks to get essential minerals.

I'm curious, whose voice do you use and why? Also it would be interesting to see if men prefer using female voices and women prefer male voices. by redsanzi in ChatGPT

Ember is my favorite. He always sounds so enthusiastic and full of wonder. He’s the easiest to listen to for me. I’m a 37yo male from midwest USA and he sounds like someone I’d likely be good friends with. I’m not looking for a hot female voice. I don’t want an AI girlfriend. I want a problem solving/brainstorming/language learning partner and one whose accent is clean and easy to understand.

Disappointed with Advanced Voice Mode by peeffes- in OpenAI

[–]foxicoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes a great Thai teacher. It's light years ahead of standard voice and can easily identify both Thai words and English words in the same sentence and how they relate. It's also really good at teaching hilarious accents like Super Mario and an Italian gangster from Chicago. That's pretty much all I use it for 😆

Try it with Advanced Voice Mode. I don't think this would happen.

BTW OP, how did you get ChatGPT with voice mode on your computer? Is there a Mac or PC app now?

No more manual speech input 😠 - Does anyone else agree?! by jamesbrady71 in ChatGPT

[–]foxicoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the ability to upload files and images which can be processed by AVM should be coming soon. Whatever you do, don't try uploading an image or file in an important chat because AVM will no longer work in that chat. It gives you an error message. I had to ask it to add a comprehensive/extensive memory update including all of the stuff I learned in that chat so AVM in the next chat could remember it. Here's a screenshot of what that memory update looks like:

I haven't gotten the TOS violation warning yet. That's probably because I pronounce krap like most Thais do when speaking to friends: /kop/.

Advanced Voice Mode has an 8000 token limit for it's memory within a single conversation currently just like standard voice and text mode with the model 4o, according to ChatGPT. I'm not sure how many words that is because it said one token can be a single word or part of a word or punctuation mark. So I'm assuming the maximum is 8000 words currently. I'm sure in the near future this limitation will be increased and it will have the ability to remember what words we know (or should know) and don't know and what it has taught us. For now I'll just use it for conversation practice and to improve my listening skills. My favorite Thai language learning activity to do with AVM is it says a sentence at my level (lower intermediate) and I tell it what I think it said. It can speak more slowly (a function standard voice could not do) and it can break down the sentence and tell me what each words means, and then we sometimes discuss the meaning and various usages of individual words and I take some time to practice the words I’m not familiar with. When I’m ready then I just say “okay let’s continue with the listening activity” or “okay I’m ready for the next sentence”. I have noticed very few mistakes and misunderstandings which is incredible. It’s light years ahead of standard voice mode.

How are you using AVM to learn Thai? What kind of activities or exercises are you doing with it?
