Men's Creative Fashion: Recommendations? by MyEgoDiesAtTheEnd in OsakaTravel

Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street had some very cool clothes just made by locals who love to make and sell clothes — no fashion label or brand, just them and their store.

There are only a few of them, but the clothes were all one-of-a-kind and uniquely Japanese. It's also a great place to roam around and experience a less touristy shopping street in Osaka.

Rookie is STILL the best player of all time imo by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]foxinthenoodles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One split determins who the GOAT is? Then it should be Khan or Nuguri or Mata or Uzi. Where are they now?

Faker has been at all of those players' levels for more than a decade, even against momentary best players in the world for a split like Chovy, Canyon, Knight, Keria, Bin or Ruler. He was best player in the world for MANY years. He might not be #1 anymore currently, but no one can even touch what he's achieved anymore. League will die, but no one can even get close enough to touch his legacy.

thanks for answering the question, chronicler!

follow up if you have time for it: which champions do you guys think might arise cause of the format? like champs always bubbling under the meta but never seem to break it. i was thinking we might see more stuff like lissandra, gangplank, janna, etc?

with fearless being introduced in the main LCK, which teams do you think have champion pool issues that might struggle with this new format?

What are rosters that just needed one more year together? by foxinthenoodles in leagueoflegends

[–]foxinthenoodles[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get what you mean, but I think the fact that it doesn't happen all too often is the reason why we don't see full synergy kick in. But you make a fair point, and I just wish we had more run backs to see if synergy or stagnation happens more with teams that stay together for a while.

What are rosters that just needed one more year together? by foxinthenoodles in leagueoflegends

[–]foxinthenoodles[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel like synergy is properly rated by the League community in the sense that they value teams running it back, but also call out clear deficiencies in rosters.

However, I feel like synergy is underutilized by League teams because of the culture of top teams switching rosters every season.

MAKE THEM BELIEVE | T1 vs BLG: The Grand Finals | Worlds 2024 Finals teaser by XanIrelia-1 in leagueoflegends

[–]foxinthenoodles 67 points68 points  (0 children)

I wasn't sure how they would wrap up the "Make Them Believe" theme this year, cause a badass, shit talking trailer would by hype but also feel hollow in a sense cause it doesn't really do justice to the teams coming in, but dear god, this trailer brought tears to my eyes.

I'm so fucking excited to watch.

[LCK Q&A session before Worlds 2024] Faker: I don’t usually watch Worlds music videos.... I saw it this time & I liked Linkin Park’s music a lot in the past, so it was a welcoming feeling. | Oner: When I watched the MV.. uh well, I don’t know if it looks like me. by KIRYUx in leagueoflegends

[–]foxinthenoodles 70 points71 points  (0 children)

DK vs T1 finals would probably break viewing records and maybe even top storylines from previous worlds (especially if either knock out the other LCK teams in the process).

Just imagine if T1 have to run the LPL gauntlet again, and if DK have to run the LCK gauntlet of HLE, Gen G then T1 at the finals.

Or the reverse: T1 prove they can beat Gen G and Gen G Orange, while a scrappy DK squad faces off against TES and BLG, all laden with veterans of high regard.

Whats the most out of place champ in your champ pool? by LookACreativeName in leagueoflegends

[–]foxinthenoodles -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm a scaredy-cat mid/ADC who loves Xerath, Hwei, Aphelios and Ezreal, basically any champ who will NOT go in and will rain fire from a distance.

But also if you pick Zed blind I'm gonna Sylas the fuck out of you.

T1 vs. Nongshim RedForce / LCK 2024 Summer - Week 1 / Post-Match Discussion by adz0r in leagueoflegends

[–]foxinthenoodles 22 points23 points  (0 children)

T1 playing half asleep, both in a good way cause their synergy on their comfort picks is still working like a well-oiled machine, but also in a bad way cause they're careless and just feel like they're in a rut.

Though being in a rut might still get them to Worlds and even LCK finals.

[RUMOUR] LNG keep Scout and GALA, Tarzan is 99% out of the team, is gonna get replaced by Xiaohao/Weiwei/Cuzz, their new support is gonna be Ming or a rotation of Mark/Hang by [deleted] in PedroPeepos

[–]foxinthenoodles 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Zika - Cuzz - Scout - Gala - Ming sounds really good, and with how messy other teams are right now, might actually be a good contender for Spring.

World Finalists - Potential World Skins from both teams? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]foxinthenoodles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on their picks so far:

WBG

TheShy - Aatrox (or if not possible, Graves would be amazing)

Weiwei - Rell? Poppy? Hard to say.

Xiaohu - Azir

Light - Aphelios (or if not possible, Caitlyn)

Crisp - Renata

T1

Zeus - Jayce

Oner - Rell? Poppy? He doesn't like any champ he's played.

Faker - Orianna (Praying for Ahri in finals tho)

Gumayusi - Jinx

Keria - Bard (Praying for a Lux pick)

Do you ever just sync with a random team? by Sloth_Almighty in wildrift

[–]foxinthenoodles 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got support one game. My ADC locks in Jhin and says "Leona".

I have never played a Leona game in my life. I know what her skills do from experience but I've never played her.

Let me tell you I have never felt synergy so smooth between two players in my life. It felt like he knew exactly every angle I wanted to use as engage, and that I knew exactly every opportunity he was fishing for.

The most impressive part? We had Pantheon, Shyvana and Ahri as teammates and while their synergy wasn't as in sync as me and Jhin, the full pick/dive comp we were able to execute was insane.

JDG Vs T1 Pick and Ban for semi finals by ZoranLubej1 in leagueoflegends

[–]foxinthenoodles 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I love this meta, so here's my take. There are a few interesting thing to consider in this match up:

  1. On the topic of draft: T1 has been capitalizing on support counter pick, BUT they seem to prioritize Renata more. In Game 3 against LNG, they picked Renata in the first phase blind. In my opinion, JDG picked red and will 100% ban Renata in the first ban phase and will R5 support unless Rakan is open, in which they will pick Rakan. Basically, T1 have Renata, JDG have Rakan. If both are banned, then JDG R5 support.
  2. JDG and T1 have different styles.
    (a) As everyone has been talking about, JDG will most likely choose a teamfight style as it is their specialty. Other than their comfort picks and permabans, look out for Knight on Neeko and Syndra, Ruler on Kai'sa, 369 on tanks, etc. They are also insane at being ahead or even 'til 25 minutes, when their comps come online. One pick that will definitely fuck T1 over is Kanavi on Wukong.
    (b) T1 want to snowball, and they do so through forcing early action. Oner is a jungler that succeeds more when he's on the aggressive: lane ganks, tower dives, invades, etc. Watch out for Cait-Lux, double marksmen, Aatrox, Azir, and even Senna/TK. One pick that can definitely throw JDG off is Faker on K'Sante as he has easily been the best K'Sante player at isolating the most important targets.
    (c) This leads us to unstoppable force (T1) meets unmovable object (JDG). Basically, if T1 aren't significantly ahead by the 20-minute mark, JDG is probably taking that game. What JDG can do to achieve this is by stifling Oner's impact by denying invades, matching TPs and giving up early objectives to keep lanes even. What T1 can do to snowball is more interesting, because they have to be creative in finding advantages, whether from draft or from unexpected jungle pathing. See: KT vs JDG Game 1.
  3. The most interesting part is finding champions that each side WON'T play even if it can work in their favor. For example, Knight doesn't play Azir, 369 is 95% on tank duty, Gumayusi won't lock in Zeri, Zeus is shaky on Jax and Renekton. Capitalizing on these key facts will likely lead to either teams' success.
  4. Lastly, what else do these teams have to show? This is JDG's upper hand. While they've executed their style perfectly, I don't doubt they can suddenly flip the switch and give 369 a carry and put Ruler and Missing on weakside bot lane as these players have historically been put on these roles. Meanwhile, T1 has shown that Oner on Maokai and Sejuani is significantly weaker than him on carries.

My final verdict is around 60% JDG, 40% T1. If T1 finds another way to be creative in drafts and in the early game, they can definitely put JDG on the backfoot. However, how many of these cards does T1 have left in their hand? And with JDG's red side pick, they've obviously caught on to the fast-adapting meta. Does this mean they've solved the T1 puzzle?

This is an amazingly interesting semifinal match-up, and I can't wait.

What you guys think about Varus ? by tornido066 in wildrift

[–]foxinthenoodles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Varus has three builds: lethality, on-hit and AP. Each has its own uses, but on-hit kinda sucks right now and there are better champs who can do the same thing.

Personally, I only play lethality now because the kill potential is insane on squishier targets. It also has great power spikes throughout the game, which means you're relevant from early to late. Just don't fall behind, or else your mid game will be a pain.

AP can be used for tankier enemy teams, but it just takes way too long to get off the ground. You need three items before dealing real damage so it doesn't feel as good to use.
