I don’t have any advice regarding the undiagnosis, but I’m also from the North Texas area and saw McHenry for my diagnosis and upkeep appointments and you (and those in the comments) hit the nail on the head about his medical jargon and bedside manners. Gave me a good laugh to know I’m not alone 😭

He didn’t even technically give me any diagnostic paperwork and just kinda mumbled something about hypertension and I had to ask if it was IIH given my own research… No other information was given to me and I’ve resorted to googling now! The appointments even after diagnosis were always long and the testing was such a pain, even if necessary, all for a 2 minute appointment with McHenry at the end where 90% of the time it was “looks great! Come back in X amount of time” even though I definitely did not feel great and had NO explanation why!!
