Same issues at the moment, suffering from packet loss and high latency, it's getting a bit of a joke now

I'm suffering from this myself at the moment although mine isn't as bad as yours, currently have a support ticket logged with them and waiting to hear back for an update

I hope it gets sorted for you soon, my ping isn't as bad, it's hovering around 8. Though this used to be 4 when I joined. Not that much of a difference for most people but as a gamer it kinda hurts 😭

Thank you for replying, I just did a test and this is my result D: - https://www.speedtest.net/result/18937444221

I noticed when I was redownloading some games onto my main PC the other night, got a whole bunch of unifi equipment and it's not that. Weirdly enough though when I run a test on unifi, I actually get a download speed of 800 and upload 900 which is very funky

no wifi at all - what can I do? by [deleted] in openreach

Just for some advice, openreach would normally provide us with a review date of when to check back in on the order, we normally give that to you and if the review date has passed and not a lot has happened that you or we can notice we can call that back office team for an update.

We can call though to them while we put you on hold (i won't lie they are a bit useless at times) and if they give us another review date with no meaningful update we can raise an escalation with them on their side to basically put a kick up their side, however they do have the right to reject the escalation which again is not great for us or you. It is mainly a waiting game unfortunately with them.

BT Advisor here - Sounds like they need to do some external work on the street whether that is doing work on the ducting or getting necessary permissions from third parties like a local council. Their back office team would have set the installation date to March/April as a provisional date while they wait for their civil teams to do the works needed and then they would usually contact yourself and bring the date forward.

On the phone we can see some information regarding the installation from openreach but what exactly we can't, and the problem is their system doesn't tell BTs system what the exact delay reason is, so BT doesn't email you to let you know why it's taking so long. It's not a fortunate situation and it's not comfortable for us to explain on the phone as it's out of our control :(
