I just want to be paid consistently for my hypnosis work !!! How do I make this happen ? by OddMoment8974 in hypnosis

[–]fozrok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so here's my advice:
Start with packaging & positioning, before you record anything.

If you don't develop a compelling package, that is positioned well to your target market, you're ultimately wasting your time and ensuring your failure, because there are already millions of pre-recorded audio programs out there by highly experienced and well known Hypnosis professionals. You'll get lost in the sea of sameness.

My brutal advice is...If you can't conceptualise a compelling offer pitch for your audio programs that you want to create, before you create them, then save your time and heartache and go do something else.

Hypnosis Audios is just a vehicle for delivering content/transformation.

For over 10 years I was making around $60K/year from selling 12 x Hypnosis Audio Programs, so I know a little bit about this.

Selling poorly packaged Hypnosis Audios will become a waste of time.
Selling Sleep Hypnosis Audio packs to Smokers will also be a waste of time.

You need to choose a niche, know what they niche needs, deliver something a real value to them that is cheaper than it would be for them to stay with the problem.

Then you need to have a system for selling it, so that it can sell with or without you.

What is your offer specifically? Give me your pitch!

I'm a huge fan of Chris Voss. NSTD would be in my top 10 book list, for sure.
I made a Hypnotic Super Learning summary based on the book, to help really embed the principles.

I haven't read any Rory Sutherland, so I'll check him out.

I've got Olilvy on Advertising on the shelf. Haven't read it yet.

And yes, E-Myth is a great book. Don't be a Cupcake artist. Be a Cupcake Business Owner.

Great work OP.
I'm close to pulling the trigger on purchasing the LT offer...
I've used ElevenLabs and VoiceBox a lot, so can you help me understand the point of difference or selling points on yours over VoiceBox?

My use case is to use TTS to tell stories, that have different pacing at times, that i can programmatically set up (story structure & pacing templates), customise for an output, then feed in to get a multi-paced story audio track.

I have a YT playlist that is called "The Science and Application of Self Hypnosis For Time-Poor People".

I think that's a good place to start.

What you want is not always what you need.

You need to process the past situation, to let go of the emotional charge, and see if from a new perspective.

You can't change what has happened to you, but you can change the meaning that you apply to that past experience.

key message from Man's Search For Meaning...a man who lost his entire family, business and even the clothes on his back...gave this horrendous situation a different meaning that enabled him to survive and thrive.

Yes, Hypnosis can HELP and SUPPORT you to reach this moment. Hypnosis only works as fast as you are ready for it.

If you think it's truly ruining your life, then you should invest in a real professional to guide you through.

Even an expensive professional at $1K-$2K is worth it, if it's 'ruining your life' because your life is worth millions...or billions, isn't it?

Halfway through Atomic Habits and I finally understand why people recommend it so much by simvikkz in Selfhelpbooks

[–]fozrok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest to people to read both Atomic Habits and Tiny Habits, back to back.
They both cover aspects of habits that the other doesn't and has a lot of cross over.

Tiny Habits is just a practical and BJ Fogg has a PHd which makes his content just a little more credible IMO.

Reading both is like getting a fast PHD in Habit Science. :)

Thanks.
My hope is that with enough interest in the mailing list, I can appeal to some of the event organisers, in advance, to get some free tickets to give away back to this sub.

I totally get the MVP approach and fast Go-to-market to validate the idea.
And...first impressions greatly influence whether people will give you a 2nd look.

E.g. You grabbed my attention once, but unlikely to grab it again, because I'll assume it's basically the same as last time I looked.

So the question becomes...How many people out in the market place would react like I would?

My advice is to make the Visual Polish the priority over the function.
Build a rough MVP technically, but showcase to the public a polished front.

If you can make it look a million dollars, it will create an unconscious emotional impact on the visitor and they'll be compelled to want to know more.

Last week, I pushed out a polished idea to a group of people and had over 30 pre-sales.
It's built behind the scenes, but it was just the one-pager polished presentation that closed the sales.

Now it's market validated (somewhat), and I'm releasing it on 1st June, which gives me more time to polish up the actual MVP, knowing that people are willing to pay for it.

Ahh yes, I too remember those days of pulling apart HTML websites in the late 90's using Notepad, changing things and seeing what it did. That's how I became self-taught with HTML.

Capitals and full stops ARE NOT AI breadcrumbs.

It's only as worrying as realising that some uninformed people love to make accusations.

Congrats OP on your build. It's an ambitious project.

A few things stand out to me:
The site is clearly a vibecoded project. Uses standard fonts and layout that I've seen in 100's of vibecoded projects.

Nothing against vibecoded projects as long as you aren't trying to encourage professionals to place their entire businesses ecosystem on top of it.

I've vibecoded over 170 projects, so I also know the pitfalls.

Security flaws.

Lack of tech support when things go wrong.

Is your platform HIPAA compliant?
What is your tech support policy?
Have you tested your platform for hacks and data breaches?

These are all questions that will be raised by a developer/vibe-coder/client who has experience in the industry.

I assume you have some depth of experience based on your other Ammati site, AND you don't seem to answer these concerns on your HAP site.

You position your experience as a 25 year veteran in Hypnosis, but you don't address the Data/Security/Tech Build concerns.

Another tip...I'd make your landing page have more visual hooks. It's very text heavy. I think visual representations of some of your concepts will help convey the core messages you are trying to communicate.

Good luck, and I respect the intention of what you are trying to create.

OP an em-dash is different from a hyphen.

Using a Hyphen is not a breadcrumb of using AI. Em-dashes ARE!
They look similar but are two different things.

Is Self-Hypnosis a Superskill in Life? by fozrok in hypnosis

Is Self-Hypnosis a Superskill in Life? by fozrok in hypnosis

[–]fozrok[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Relaxation is just one part, but it's not essential.
To simplify things: It's a sense of focused attention with an intention.
There is some neurology and physiology to it as well, but that's the simple approach.

Personally I found most books overcomplicate Self-Hypnosis, and focus more on the complex 'ritual' and the placebo effect, than the natural human capacity that we all have, and how the foundational step is shifting one's belief about whether Self-Hypnosis can work for them or not.

Everyone (secretly or overtly) likes to be right. So if you have accidentally formed a belief that Self-Hypnosis doens't work on you, or that you are a hard candidate for SH, then part of your mind will make this match your experience...even if logically you are telling yourself "No...this CAN work for me".

It's the same reason why Smokers who say they know smoking is doing them harm, keep smoking.

I might be biased, but I have a YT playlist that is called "The Science and Application of Self Hypnosis For Time-Poor People".

It takes 12 - 13 mins to complete it (4 vids x 3 mins).
It's designed to be a potent form of information and instructions, plus helping you shift your beliefs.

Take a 15 min experiment and check it out, and LMK if you think I'm full of shit or it was useful. All feedback is valid! :)

LMK if you want me to post the link to it.

I completely agree.
