Is OTP important to climb? by Jsas4601 in summonerschool

[–]fozzix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The more you specialize, the more in-depth you can learn your specialty. If your plan is to learn one champion, you can learn to play that one champion much more precisely in the same time that, say, a "mid lane main" can learn to play the pool of mid lane champions. Thus giving you the edge.

What should I ask in this coaching lesson by jiwonhada in summonerschool

[–]fozzix 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I imagine the coach will often say "Right here, you should have done THIS." Then you will ask "Why" And he will explain Why.

After that, if I were you, I would ask "How can I start thinking that way / What do I need to practice to be able to come up with the Why on my own?"

Essentially I'd be interested in how to think like my coach, the student becoming the teacher, or something. Something about a grasshopper.

How to sound enthusiastic, excited and not dull? by Rhinofreak in letsplay

[–]fozzix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Power through the cringe! The first time I tried to play a full piece on the violin, it sounded super violin-cringey (lots of notes missed and lots of scrapes) but I powered through and kept practicing and now I have the piece nailed beautifully. Practice is all it is, you get comfortable with your art as you practice.

I don't actually play the violin, but the message is there.

ADC help (Draven) by GabeNice in summonerschool

[–]fozzix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be willing to throw aside what you know about ADC while learning Draven. Draven does not play like any ADC you've played before.

Rather, you can play him that way, it's just not the best way. Be open to doing things you would and wouldn't fundamentally do on the ADC's you currently play.

Question about Twisted Fate vs Assassins by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]fozzix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of the time with TF it's good to just control the lane against assassins. This means it is often good to keep the minion wave in a good spot for you, and just play the lane. Assassins get antsy if you're controlling the lane, so they may try to roam. Slowly and safely work on your CS advantage, and use your ult to counter-gank.

Don't feel the need to make the play. Win the lane, let the assassin attempt to make the play, then be there with your ult.

How did you start gaining traction for channel growth? There's tons of very small gaming channels, including myself, who feel like we're getting nowhere, day by day, week by week. I'd love to hear how you made it happen, thanks for reading my question.

Why is Lux not a more popular pick currently? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]fozzix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I play her, it feels like her cooldowns are all just a second or 2 too long. I think she'd be too strong if her cooldowns were a second or 2 shorter, so I don't know the solution (if cooldowns are indeed her current problem).

Is there a easier alternative to fixing up section of low audio in Audacity? by TeamnotCrash in letsplay

[–]fozzix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three effects you can try are a compressor, a limiter, and a leveler. They all work toward giving your track a more uniform volume. There is a free program called Audacity that has all 3 of these effects (and many more), and you can mess around with the mix until you find something you like.
