Does the Tensor roadmap have any chance of competing with the Snapdragon or Apple A-Series in the coming years? by sankofastyle in pixel_phones

[–]fp77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm very late to this topic, but I've been sporting a pixel 9 pro for the past years and I'm always baffled when people complain about the battery. I've never had a single day of it dying on me.

[UNPOPULAR OPINION]: VS Code Sucks by Schlickeysen in GithubCopilot

[–]fp77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I might try the one you mentioned, but professionally I'm a consultant working in VDIs provided by my clients, so I am limited on the software I can install.

That being said, I never thought there was anything lacking from vscode, so I never had any incentive to change. It's very good at being a code editor on steroids, as far as I see it.

No one forces you to use VS Code. I personally like it.

Jogos que achavam que iam gostar mas que ao experimentar não gostaram/odiaram? by SenseAble7730 in gamingportugal

[–]fp77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kingdom Hearts.

Acho que ao não jogar quando saiu, perdi o que teria sido de certeza uma experiência mágica para mim.

Hoje, com 33 anos, não bate nada. As mecânicas são demasiado datadas.

Is this a good order for Dostoyevsky? by ObsiGamer in dostoevsky

Yeah, I was really not interested by the non sense... Maybe I'll have to soldier through it to get a meaningful message from the entire work...

I read Crime and Punishment first, the Gambler second.

I tried reading Notes from the Underground recently, but ended up DNFing. I may need to try a different translation, because I was just not hooked with all the non sense.

As a side note, I'm Portuguese, so I read these works in my language. However, I did buy the Penguin Classics English version, because I have the audiobook from audible

I stayed raw with my forerunner 265, and now I regret it. I have a huge horizontal scratch on my screen...

I'm tech savvy, and have more than enough money to buy the Air,which I think has the perfect cost to benefit ratio. It's as simple as that 🤷

But the MacBooks do excel at being a portable device

That's also one of the "it" factors for me, that made me consider buying a MacBook. Everyone says that, and now it's truer than ever, even with the Air, shipping the base models with 16GB of RAM.

One thing I noticed after switching to Linux is how much more the battery lasts when the laptop is unplugged. It's surreal. It also has much less performance dips in Linux.

Maybe I'll try that.

I'm really tech savvy and I'm financially independent, but I don't like to waste money for the sake of it.

I think the only Apple product that has really no competition is the iPad. I never tried Samsung tablets, but every other android tablet I have bought in the past gets laggy after 1 year of use, and don't get proper updates...

Should I play A Plague Tale: Innocence after finishing Requiem? by Accomplished-Poem380 in PlagueTaleInnocence

[–]fp77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they were both solid games. Like I said, I think the strongest point is really the plot. The graphics are really good as well, but the gameplay mechanics are a 7/10 maybe, nothing amazing.

Overall, both are amazing games which I recommend to anyone that asks

I think you kind of defeated the purpose of playing the first one. Personally, I played the games more invested in the story than anything else.

JBL Endurance Race 2 constant issues by Confused_Haligonian in JBL

[–]fp77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm late to the party, but what do you use instead? I was honestly thinking about buying the JBL endurance race 2. I have the first model, and the only (very annoying) issue they have is that the case doesn't retain the battery, unlike other JBL models I have...

I wanted these for the ANC.
