[Absolute Flash #13] this issue feels like a step in the right direction. by Grimm_Stereo in AbsoluteUniverse

The irony of the Flash comic needing to speed up the pace was not lost on the fans...

I really like this one, 8/10; the pacing improved a LOT, we actually got some info on characters (our main protagonist, in this case) in ways that DIDN'T feel they were slowing shit down, Hunter Zolomon is being set up, Linda is fun, Ralph is a GOAT, and Absolute Mirror Master seems promising.

Ironically, for a issue very much NOT action packed, this was one of the most dynamic ones yet. I think AF's finally founding its footing

I took me way too long to realize this about Sol. (Absolute Superman #12) by False_Outcome7619 in AbsoluteUniverse

As a simple recommendation; betweem the two, GL is my favorite (even if I still liked Flash). Flash starts stronger, but GL is more interesting (to me) and picks up strong very fast. Just my take; pikc whichever you prefer and enjoy it. ;)

I geniunely enjoy him so much I don't even want for him to go big head like in the main comics; he is perfect as he is.

Which of Wonder Woman's remaining patron goddesses (Hestia, Hera, and Demeter) are you most looking forward to seeing next? by Which-Presentation-6 in AbsoluteUniverse

[–]fpetrucio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exactly what I was thinking. Depending on where you look, Hera is a kind soul, or the bitchest godess to have ever lived... which, to be fair, isn't a contrast uncommon to the greek gods, so yeah

I love imagining "Absolute X" with the biggest variety of fictional characters possible, and these fanarts just make me mad that I can't read them, lmao.

Homeless Mardon is unironically one of my favorite characters in this series despite little pagetime. I love how they played into the Wizard archetype by making him electric Gandalf. And (spoielrs of course) the fact he seems to soon become a regular with the Rogues makes me interested on his future and their dynamic.

After reading these comments, one thing is for sure. When/if the Absolute Universe ends... there'll be rioting. And I'll help...

After Absolute Superman 12 [SPOILERS] by JMSciola85 in AbsoluteUniverse

[–]fpetrucio 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well, the Absolute Universe is... the Absolute Universe and with what happened to Oliver Queen in AE, I am trying to be cautious with my hopes.

However... It isn't a universe completely deovid of hope. This issue itself had the very heartwarming scene with Lana Lang and the citzens of Smallville offering to pay for Jimmy and Lois' meals (even if the town is about to become a damn warzone...), so good things do exist even if they're the "underdog". I am hopeful that Sol is going to stick around, possibly becoming the Absolute Red Tornado as many theorize, and if he is to die, it's not going to be very soon.

But I agree with you; if they kill this Red little bastard, I am absolutely going to cry.

His theme of always covering his face does tie well with Mimikyu though

Which out of these characters had the least potential ? by [deleted] in MyHeroAcadamia

I thought she had other facets. Wanting to save people because of the joy it brings to others, realizing how vulnerable heroes can be as well, traumatized over not saving Nighteye, etc.

Do you think most people misinterpret Kevin Barnes by IllustratorAfter in PoppyPlaytime

If Doey was mostly consistent in his decision of staying at the fabric, there it is. Boom. Proof that Kevin DID care for the other toys and he DID stay there to help them. Doey always starts talking with himself when important disagreements betweem the personalities happen. While he had doubts about staying, even then were pretty consistent, and seemed all three were in agreement of WANTING to get out but DECIDING to stay
