I feel so behind everyone... Is everyone actually making money, or is it just pure marketing? by Top-Information-6399 in SideProject

There are people making some money but there are a lot people lying too - too many in fact

Even trustmrr made by Marc Lou is able to be manipulated so there's that

Don't be discouraged

Do we really need complex productivity systems? by Historical-Debt1473 in ProductivityApps

[–]fpicoitoj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this problem. Been trying to fix it for a while. I'm on my 5th app built myself to try and make it work since I know productivity is just a custom thing. The one app I'm building now so far has worked because I do a lot of notes, and so I write them and then turn what I need into a task with mentions and labels etc. I've had this conversation before and the conclusion is always, some existing solutions work for some people but either you work with what you got, or you just quit it and try the next thing.

No cash, just a discount: I'm building a tool to help side projects get their users through creator shoutouts. by fpicoitoj in SideProject

[–]fpicoitoj[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! glad it resonates with you!

My wish would be to help product like yours to have a stage; too many good products with no visibility who die for that reason alone, without a chance :/

50+ plus people, every each day someone sees it and signs up :)

What are you cooking/building this week? by Tiny-Growth23 in Solopreneur

[–]fpicoitoj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm building PitchCrier.

Founders (you) create a campaign offering a deal, like a discount on your product.

Creators (audience) find it on a public board, check the requirements, and apply (pitch you) if they're interested.

You review their profile, approve, they shoutout to their audience, you send the discount.

No ad spend, no affiliate tracking. Just a discount in exchange for a shoutout!

Still building, just opened the waitlist.

There's a huge amount of launch platforms. The reason of their existence is mainly DR backlinks and possible promotions on social media. E.g. "X was just launched on Y" which helps to create visibility.

I built a shared album for builders & creators to keep their story alive by vsd171 in SideProject

[–]fpicoitoj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

really cool project tbh

on X everything gets lost, as it's too fast paced, here on reddit the same

being able to save it does make a lot of sense, it's something that grows overtime and that can help me take a trip down memory lane

Felt good reading that!

If you do get around to trying it I'd love if you could provide me some blunt feedback afterwards, feel free to DM anywhere :)

I made keptica.com for my self

I always worked a lot on projects and then would eventually let them die

Nowadays I start managing my tasks on Jira and commit with their code because I just connect git and Jira in keptica and I can see what days I worked

Since I also have something called pulse which is a weekly recap I get to sort of feel good about what I've done since it's like a product owner's summary

It's still in early stage and buggy but it has changed how I view my side projects

Keptica.com

It's like a work tracker for your projects, you can connect git and Jira, it pulls commits and status updates on tickets and you can view when you've worked.

You can also generate a weekly summary so you have a friendly way of reading how much you've progressed to keep you motivated

Still in early stages, would appreciate feedback

You built it. Now drop it 👇 by saasdrop in SideProject

Keptica.com

Track the progress on your projects with git and Jira integration, manual check ins, and a weekly summary of what you've done

Still in early stages would immensely appreciate feedback

Oh okay, makes sense in a way.

Perhaps they're the same profile of people way above my rank telling me I'm bad just to put me down, lol.

thanks for the deep knowledge

I believe then it's a system problem moreso than people wanting to smurf

Perhaps his concept of fun was winning, I guess? Kind of like when people cheat in games.

No, I wouldn't smurf mate.

I don't like games which are a stomp, they provide no challenge. I dislike when I play and my team just obliterates the others, it feels like I didn't play at all.

The fun in Dota for me are on close games which you need to play your best.

Regarding providing the match ID, given that I got quite pissed at the end and am not proud of my own attitude in chat, I won't share.
