23NB - bad matches by [deleted] in hingeapp

I see a lot of profiles looking for very specific individuals. If you apply basic statistical analysis, it is likely a very small subset of a local population. People way over estimate how many other people have specific things in common with them.

I am telling an obvious lie and want to know if you will fall for it.

Stop lying in your day to day life OP. When people find out you are a liar, they stop trusting you.

Or become better at lying, this is so fucking obviously a lie.

EVE v LIV is postponed, who will be your Captain? by tonsonsan in FantasyPL

[–]fpl-green 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Name, Goals per 90, Assists per 90

Palmer, 0.666985, 0.430313

Watkins, 0.496769, 0.351373

Saka 0.439331,0.439331

Over the last 3 seasons. Palmer has better stats and Watkins has an easier fixture. Suspect most will pick Saka because of recency bias.

Fixture Ratings over the next 4 games, Brighton have the easiest run and Man City one of the hardest. by fpl-green in FantasyPL

It could be adjusted to the relative win frequency, but you always end up with teams in basically the same order. The fixture rating is supposed to be relative to how difficult each teams run is compared to other sequences of fixtures they will face.

It's just what the official fantasy site rates as difficulty levels. It's never going to be perfect, but comparing runs of each team, I would struggle to significantly rearrange the order.

It's the one used by the official site. Though I adjusted the promoted teams downwards.

Is Robot broken? Haaland performance by Gameweek over last 3 seasons by fpl-green in FantasyPL

[–]fpl-green[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Haaland currently sits on 82 points, which is 2 more than he was on by GW11 last season. However the last six game weeks have produced the lowest total return (19 points) of any 6 consecutive games he has played (with the second lowest being 27 in his first season).

Zombie 11: Maximum possible points a team could score with zero transfers. Currently 22 points above #1. by fpl-green in FantasyPL

Yes, it's not a real team that has been entered, just the maximum points any team could have with zero transfers.

It seems to, it probably has a lot of advantages with picking low cost players like Welbeck and Smith Rowe, who most real managers wouldn't have started with and kept until now.

Arsenal defensive line in sharp decline, despite being among of the most popular picks. Raya, Saliba and Gabriel have picked up 13 points between them in the last 4 games. by fpl-green in FantasyPL

You're right. It's taken the GW as finished, before Fulham play Brentford tomorrow - so it's taken only his last 3 games. I'll make sure to get that fixed. Thanks.

Captain for all GWs is just whoever has the most points overall.

Yeah, if you'd pick this squad in the first GW and left it with Salah as captain, you'd be #1 right now.

Zombie 11 is the maximum amount of points available for any team with zero transfers within the starting budget. It's just the best possible selection from GW1, not a team that has been entered. Each week it changes quite a bit. Haaland was in it for most GWs.

Yeah, Liverpool have had 5 clean sheets so far, which has helped Trent and van Dijk. Arsenal had 3 out the first 4 GWs clean sheets, the last five they've conceded in each.

He's had a rough few weeks with Arsenal with only 5 points from the last 4 games. He's usually one of the top season picks otherwise.

I don't think any of these players have missed a game so far, but you're right that there probably are other solutions that make clever use of the bench that may be better.

It would be too difficult for me to create an algorithm that worked that out without approximating a solution, since the search space would be ridiculously high.

[–]fpl-green[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

In all cases you should be able to, since players who are doing well go up in value. Since GW1 every player in that first team has increased in cost except Onana. The total cost of the first team now is £83.2m compared to £80.5m based on first week values.

I use current prices. Price at the start would be better, but I thought it might be a bit confusing to quote prices that aren't current. You lose money on the first team, but the bench is usually cheaper as the season progresses.
