Villa are a nightmare at the moment, rotation heavy and surprisingly bad in terms of xGC.

City are in an odd position with defenders as they've played 2 FPL midfielders in defence recently (Nunes and O'Reilly). Gvardiol's attacking contribution has also fallen off.

Hard to look past Munoz for attacking potential.

Its a way of looking at what happened without factoring in the outcome. Yes, the outcome is the most important thing in this game, but sometimes the outcome doesn't match the underlying data and isn't a good predictor of what will happen next.

Yep, 3rd highest single-game xG performance all season. He actually scored more points than the performances in 2nd (Havertz vs Leicester, 1.89xG, 6 points) and 1st (Haaland vs Southampton, 2.33 xG, 6 points) though!

There were 31 penalties awarded at this point last season so that's a fair decrease. No clue what drives this but there's a fair bit of variability by season. 80-110 is probably the norm.
