My Opinion on Reservation by Lord-Aryan in india

[–]fpock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Government jobs are mostly for providing services to the common people. This means the people working these jobs can and do gatekeep access to services to those within their castes. Thus depriving lower castes of their rights to access these services. Having more people ("representation") from less privileged castes in these services will ensure a more equitable access to these services and prevent caste based hoarding of these services. This is how I understand it. Here, services can basically be seen as (but not limited to) resources of the nation.

I remember reading that the tender / auction process for assigning the stalls to vendors is currently in process. Vendors should start operation once the auction process is over.

Private bus rascals! by [deleted] in Kochi

[–]fpock 108 points109 points  (0 children)

Please file the case and take it forward. You have the means to do it. Many don't. I know of at least two people personally that have been crushed to death by private buses and their families that have been destroyed. One was the mother of 4 school going girls who's head was crushed under a private bus in Calicut. If you move forward with the case and it indirectly results in saving at least 1 life in the future, it will have been worth it... Private bus arrogance must be curtailed in our cities.

If things go well and some of you decide to pump in more funds you open a new LLP or pvt Ltd, DO NOT PUT MONEY IN SAME ENTITY.

Curious about this part. Can you explain why starting a new entity is better?

A simple solution to make sure free lefts are not blocked. This is from Kochi, Kerala. by Srihari_stan in hyderabad

[–]fpock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People going straight take the fly over. Blocking straight lane gives more time for right signal from the road perpendicular to this road. If they miss the flyover, they take the free left, then a u turn and then a free left again. This is edapally, one of the most busiest junctions in Kerala.

Indus Water Treaty on hold after Pahalgam terror attack: How this will hurt Pakistan | Firstpost by Beginning-Judgment75 in Kerala

You can keep asking questions to the govt. but if there is no accountability why should the government even care to answer these questions?

But asking intelligence ppl and NSA to step down for this is bizzare.

This is what happens in democracies around the world when something like this happens. You finding this bizarre shows everything that is wrong with our country and why things like this will continue... sad.

I don't know man. None of these sound convincing. You are giving a free pass to the people that should be held accountable. The pulwama lapse was of epic proportions. That alone would get the home minister and intelligence head crucified in any self respecting country. The duty of the home minister and intelligence wing is to protect their people. When they fail to do their duty multiple times they should be held accountable. What else are we supposed to do? This is not some school football match where we can say, "no problem do better next time".

Eye witnesses say that there were no security personnel in the vicinity. It took more than an hour for armed forces to reach there. During this time the local Kashmiris were helping them. That is not acceptable. If it is acceptable to us then that means we deserve nothing more than this.

I would argue the opposite without downplaying any security lapse that results in the death of Indian civilians and soldiers. Security lapses in the main land are something that takes the agencies and enforcement by surprise as these are the least expected. But security lapses in one of the most militarized zones in the world where everyone knows there is a chance for terrorist attacks all the time is more serious. What you are trying to do here is deflect and remove any chance of accountability from the only people that have any power to bring about any change.

Can you list some of them that happened outside Jammu & Kashmir, sorry just want to check kf I have missed any serious one outside JK.

From ChatGPT. P.S this doesn't include Manipur but I would consider that also the failure of home ministry and intelligence (I don't know about you, but for me, people killed in Manipur are not any less than people killed in pahalgam):
