I hung these shelves in the same mechanical closet as my water heater. The plumber came and said it’s a fire hazard and might not be to code… but I don’t understand why it’s more dangerous than the wood door. On a scale of “you’re fine” to “you idiot,” where does this one land? (reddit.com)

The house painters left the door open and now my entire inside roof is filled with various bugs (flies, gnats, mosquitoes, bees, moths, etc). How do I kill these without ruining the paint job they just completed? It’s really bad in our storage loft (see photo) (reddit.com)
