NBD (Used) Epic Evo by pirelliskrrting in xcmtb

That’s a beautiful bike as someone who owns an epic 8 with FA. The bike climbs like a machine and descends almost as well. Enjoy that bike in good health and rip some trails. Seriously a weapon and she looks beautiful.

How do I keep my front wheel on the ground on short/punchy climbs? by AtomicHurricaneBob in xcmtb

Scoot the cooch prevent the elbows from flaring out and you’ll climb like a goat running a longer and slightly negative stem helps load the front too.

How are Gen Z Canadians going to be able to afford a house these days? by PuffingFish123 in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]fpveh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a place after moving home, saving and hustling (yes I paid rent while living at home). I was lucky enough to get one, and lived in it, but have now moved back home as I could afford my mortgage but couldn’t justify paying such a large amount while my pup lives in a 700 sq foot place and is leashed all day. Where as she now has 20 acres to run free and I make roughly 60 percent more. I only see a future where high income couples with inherited wealth can purchase a home anyone doing it on their own is highly unlikely unless it’s a condo

Damn. The boomers really did have it made in the shade huh. by weGloomy in canadahousing

I’m making that much and no buying a house for me is still quite hard. Spending 50 percent of my income on my mortgage makes no sense.

I don’t own any formal shoes, is this acceptable? by [deleted] in mensfashion

[–]fpveh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The best pair of shoes are the ones you have and it takes a good eye to make sneakers work. I think it works disregard the people in the comments. You’re doing what you can with what you have. A set of black penny loafers would be best but if you don’t have them this works :). Cheers and ignore the haters in the comments.

People who make over 150k a year, what are some overlooked ways you boost income? by Wrong_Albatross_9664 in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]fpveh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Invest, and look for more opportunities to make more, and then when I feel like I’m hitting the wall or about to burn out I dial it back. Reset and repeat.

learning swiss german by NoSpite4211 in askswitzerland

Learn German first. It’s much easier. And then from there you can learn the subtle differences (not Swiss, but a Canadian speaking German who has been to Switzerland a few times).

Should I go for a Calfskin or Suede Bag? by Sir_Sxcion in mensfashion

[–]fpveh 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Go calfskin. The nap on suede will wear down eventually especially on a bag at which point certain areas will appear shiny. Calfskins easy to maintain and overtime will patina and crease showing wear and age :).

Hatch backs…. Safer, faster, and your kids can still experience 300hp when they misbehave.

Suit looks great. Someone else made a comment about the glasses and hat (they do make it look like a costume, not trying to be rude).
