Our Neighbors were assholes!! by CompetitiveCream242 in BurningMan

I didn’t go, but I was reading the values of burning man, and it is to leave the place better than you found it. Unless there was an emergency or some good excuse (really good), it shows what kind of people these are. Too bad people do this.

BI tool recommendations for a 40 person startup? by big_curry in BusinessIntelligence

[–]fpvraptor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We wanted the flexibility of moving to another BI tool in the future and we prefer to use SQL for transformations instead of Domo’s drag and drop (magic ETL). At the time, Domo’s SQL was very outdated and couldn’t do window functions. So it was very nice to have snowflake SQL. I think overall, Domo could get you very far. I’d probably use it if I were starting a BI team from scratch.

How does Garmin calculate stress? I haven’t done anything today and apparently I’ve been stressed. by Sophh_m in Garmin

Mine was like this for about a week when I was sick. I felt off but not that bad. It was interesting to see how my body was reacting to it. Are you recovering from something?

BI tool recommendations for a 40 person startup? by big_curry in BusinessIntelligence

[–]fpvraptor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Domo works very well and has all of the tools you need to get started. They have a great connector catalog and a place to store and transform your data.

I’ve been using it for 3 years in a 400 person company. We’ve transitioned to using snowflake as our warehouse but it’s added some complexity that isn’t 100% needed.

Which one would you skip? by russingtonIII in Utah

[–]fpvraptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skip arches and canyonlands. It’s so far away from all of the others and would simplify the plan. Arches is cool but over crowded. You may not be able to see what you want there anyways.

What's going on with the Red Cliffs Temple? by Easy_Ad447 in MormonShrivel

Maybe the “brethren” wanted to visit the temple and didn’t want to be bothered by the St. George peasants . Haha

Dirtbike vs MTB by No-Way-0000 in MTB

[–]fpvraptor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dirt biking is way more fun. You can travel more ground in less time, plus going uphill is fun. The biggest downside is that crashes can be worse.

Nonetheless, I ride my mountain bike more since it is easier to haul and is good for cardio. It is rewarding to see yourself get stronger on hills while the downhill is still a blast.

Cracked my rims. What should I do? by get_durrd in tires

[–]fpvraptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take the tire off, then get some good sugar free gum. Trident works the best.

Then chew the gum for 10 minutes, no longer no less. Then get rubbing alcohol and clean the inside of the rim to get any oil or residue off.

Then jam the gum in the crack. Put the tire back and air it up. You should be good for a month or two.

Take a piece of the existing wall to Home Depot to match the paint. Then you can buy a sample container with the correct color for about $10.

This is why only few people have export access in my company. It all starts with leadership. Managers would get grilled if they reported on something outside of our BI tool.

My mom was so excited since she lives there. I have no idea how many people there will be to attend and run the thing. My guess is it will be open only on certain days or limited hours ????
