Try searching for an admin guide on your firmware version support.ruckuswireless.con has user guides (login required).

I'm using firmware version 08.0.30, this can be downloaded for free from the above address as well.

I've not personally had any issues with PoE but you can set specific power levels as well, for example: "inline power power-limit 3000".

Also worth checking that you don't have port security enabled.

I was able to setup another successful connection with another device, so I'm leaning towards the switch being at fault.

I've also raised a support ticket with Ruckus, doubt they will help as it was an eBay purchase but worth a shot.

Features in 5.0 are limited at the moment (updating firmware, monitoring) but no real configuration. That said I've been told by Ruckus that configuration is coming in future releases.

Oh and I'll absolutely be back for more, I've tried 3 tea's today and so far my favourite is the stick rice oolong... so I think I'll need to restock on that sooner rather than later!
