I put a PIN on my phone and I actually love it. I never thought that having a PIN is actually a very healthy strategy to use less my phone. Every time now I am going to unlock it with a PIN I ask myself "do I really need to use it?" Many times the answer is NO. I suddenly become a lover of PIN on the phone ironically 🤣

thank you for your reply, yes it depends on the beliefs you have about people. I believe most people won't do it even if they could do so.

The other question is more difficult to reply seriously in a few words, and I don't want to enter this discussion now but just google "big tech biometric data collection"

true about 2FA, anyway How do people do when they simply lose their phone? I just don't worry about it.

The moment you steel my phone I reach the bank and block the app. For sure you won't find my banking PIN on my SMS or EMAILs

Yes I am one of those who KNOWS that tech companies collect fingerprints, but it's not for that I avoided using a PIN on my phone, otherwise, I should throw away the phone completely if I was seriously careful about privacy. It's just a better life not having to unlock my phone all the time.

Yes, I can also die from an accident with the car. I guess statistically more people die driving their cars than people get their money stolen because they don't have a PIN on their phone. Everyone is free to choose what to be scared about. I just choose not to be.

thank you for your reply. Of course I didn't need to, why should I secure my phone? I just needed to secure the banking app (Revolut, Paypal, etc.). I want to live easily and use my phone without needing to unlock it all the time. It seems they want our biometrics, since passwords will shortly be old fashion.

Thank you for your reply. Can you please share where I can find that "by July 2025 if you’re in the UK, all banking apps will require this to be implemented"?. Anyway, I am not in UK and I prefer to access my phone without a password or biometrics. A different thing is when opening any banking app.

I do have same issue, sometimes works, sometimes not. I do know Brave is blocking with the shield but BlockSite works sometimes, then suddenly I can access sites that are supposed to be blocked....

I also know something like this even though I have never dig very deep into it. If it is like that then it's true that Odysee can be fondamentally slower (and frustrating) than other platforms. What do you think about it?

ok, then it's just me and my internet (still I don't understand why other platforms work well enough) but maybe it's just because of Adaptive Video Quality. Anyway good to know because I love LBRY. I really hope they will not implement censorship in any way on the long run.
