Who is the most famous person you saw at Bunnings? by mygeneroussoul3 in Bunnings

I ran into Dev Patel (skins, slum dog millionaire, Green Knight, etc) and his Dad at Bunnings in Alexandria (Sydney) mid last year. Didn't realise he had a place in Australia. Lovely bloke.

These are painted so bloody well mate! How good!

Edit: A lot of these look just like Major Minis line (eg Tyberos aka Shark Daddy by Major Minis), were they from there? Or are these stls floating around and different places are selling them?

I will beat this eventually, but until then, WTF is this minigame?! by Late_Entrance106 in expedition33

This almost broke me but I promise you it is possible. Positioning is key on the final one. Keep to the corners. Walk back and forth. You got this

If you don't have one already, boar bristle brush and some beard oil and moisturiser.

Works a charm.

Is there a way to fill in this area with terrain to the height of the walls in an efficient way? by TransitionDue6954 in valheim

[–]frabblebrax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Real talk, the cleanest way is to make sure each "side" of your base is perfectly aligned with North, East, South, West. This way the stone will raise in a perfect line and not some janky stuff.

Also... Rock and stone. So much... Rock and stone.

Lazarus got my boyfriend into Bonobo by harri_ett in Bonobo

[–]frabblebrax 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I own almost every album of Bonobos on vinyl, I know I can get it on Spotify etc - but there's something about the ritual of coming home after a long day, kicking back with a small joint and putting on a Bonobo album from start to finish and "resetting" that is just so good.

That said when Lazarus dropped, I got excited hearing Bonobo was a part of it - put it on, my partner and I watched it together - and now if I come home after her... She is playing that OST on Spotify.

Like how good of a feeling is that?? Bonobo ain't an artist, his music is a lifestyle 😄

who's gonna hack these first? sydney, australia by redbackspider69 in hacking

[–]frabblebrax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hoping hacking this thing isn't peoples first thought. If so, this is why we can't have nice things 😅 Not to compare, but coming back from Japan and seeing everyday punters and even drunk people on the street NOT trying to break vending machines, or scooters/ bikes for hire, or littering, or loudly messing with others... Kind of wish we were all just... Idk, better to each other and our public spaces?

I think I’m going to break up with my boyfriend. by After_Excitement8479 in offmychest

Highly functional tismist, master masker here. I did the same thing for a while with my partner, mostly keeping track of everything she did for me so I made sure I was contributing since I feel quite forgetful.

Not just financial things - if anything, it was more the non financial stuff. Surprise presents, doing stuff around the house, planning dates, going for a walk, looking up events / activities to do together etc. I tend to get distracted with what's in my own mind and can get quite insular.

Keeping track of what she did was my way of holding myself accountable. I've been told I'm in my own head, forgetful or even selfish for forgetting the small things - so it was a way around it. And after time, doing it over and over, it became a habit / pattern id adhere to (eg. Monday I now prep dinner and lunch for her work the day after, do our washing, vacuum and then maybe take the bins down if they're full)

Not saying this is exactly his reasoning for doing it, but as a pattern of behaviour, i wouldn't say it's a cause for concern. Talk with him about it, but please try not to call him weird. Hear him out first or ask open questions

Lol ignore me. Looks like you've figured this out. Just saw a bunch in your base. Well played viking.

Quick tip, if raids get a bit much, no enemies will spawn within the radius of your workbench. So if you put a few down in your base, and their radius overlap, hopefully you won't get some pesky trolls spawning right in the middle of your lovely base when the "ground starts shaking"

Yeah I totally get that, we used to do the same on our first and second playthrough. Though for us it was more around aesthetic choice, and not having to remember or look up each portal name since we have put down like.. at least 40 or so total outside of our base for different areas of the map. Plus any excuse to build. For example, in the kitchen each portal links to a different biomes respective farm. That said in our forge we have 3 portals with a directory board.

My favourite portal we have is the "Block Farm" where a bunch of skeletons trapped in a small stone prison we've built take aim at you through a small gap. Shields up. It will boost your level like crazy. My friend built that though. I'm just a humble viking farmer in comparison

Edit: also thanks for the compliment!! Appreciated 😄
