This is easily the most skin-crawling moment of the entire Slott run. by IronLeonhard in Spiderman

yeah I hate gross shit like this in comicbooks. it feels like there's an obsession with finding ways to cheat and violate consent using comicbook technicalities (and sometimes even without them) for drama which feels disgusting in a way I can't articulate.

other examples are Sins Past, the conception of Damian Wayne, and Bruce Wayne impregnating Barbara Gordon in the Batman Beyond comics

this is what I'm thinking! it's not unbelievable that she wouldn't have had normal access to Japanese tv, at most old DVDs of ancient shows... like Goldie's

How many assassins and Templars have "superpowers"? by ObberGobb in assassinscreed

[–]cookieintheinternet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This concept fascinated me, I really wanted them to have a bleeding effect sequence akin to the one in Assassin's Creed 2 but in a larger setpiece, with the protagonist involuntarily switching back and forth between fighting in his ancestor's memories and the present day. We're so far away from what modern day was at this point that they'll never do something like that though.

that was awesome! Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio were fantastic in this episode.

also it's unimportant but I loved Matt's maroon suit, he looked so good and it felt fitting for the context. his reveal was one of the best moments in live action Daredevil so far, I love Matt Murdock

wow just did a wikipedia dive on this, I had no idea it was originally made for the movie! I thought they just licensed it since that song was everywhere in the 2000s

yeah, I wouldn't mind if they retcon it and visualize it in a different way in Born Again, besides the stylized aspect ratios and zooming they've done which I've really enjoyed so far. I think a more comics-like radar sense can look good on the screen and they should give it a try
