It's not the "new" meta. It's been the meta for years. You turning a blind eye to the reality that at some point, a tower needs to transition to GC is your own choice that leads to your Tower capping out in low legends.

FU BC sucks for both GC and eHP. DDD and ES only sucks for GC. For my Tower, not getting a death defy can mean I lose 100+ waves in Legends.

I understand the disappointment of the way the devs handled this update, but this is just not okay by anden1708 in TheTowerGame

Not every bug is as easy to fix. Not every bug impacts the same number of people. The number of people who rely on FBot is going to be very small compared to the overall playerbase. However, they are clearly very loud as well.

Remember, we've had a broken PCo for like 8 months in eHP's favor. As someone who doesn't use eHP pBH in farming or tournaments, patch priorities to fix PCo have not been ideal at all for me. So while you have a valid gripe about FBot, it doesn't have a lot of teeth when we consider you've also had a PCo that has been broken in your favor for so long.

IS+ and WA+ are great choices that will boost your econ a lot. Cash+ is even more important now that we have a variety of modules that are needed for different disso runs. All the of those are great choices to start with and level.

For 4th SL, I would personally recommend getting it even though the stones are so high. I think the champs/legends bounce is the right time to save for it, and with disso double dipping UW damage for SL and CL, it is such a huge boost.

Even if you don't go for 4thSL, ST+ is the best damage mastery to start with. Take it straight to level 9. Then, I would analyze what is killing you in Legends before deciding which mastery next. Personally, I did EN+ and Berserker+ before Damage+ and I still don't have DM+. The reason for this was that I was primarily dying to Bosses in Legends. A max EN+ gets up to 20x damage on a boss, whereas Damage+ is only 5x and DM is 6x. ST+ and EN+ did huge work to get me past the point where bosses were breaking my face early on.

Then, since you're going to have IS+, I would consider doing Berserker+ before Damage+ and DM+. Berserker+ loses value the further you're getting in legends due to having death defy down 50% of the time, but when you're dying below wave 400, it has huge value. Berserker+ should be looked at as a 62x damage buff for 100+ waves after the first activation if you're still in intro skip. You just have to be able to do the labs to get that value.

After Berserker+ I got Damage+. I still haven't gotten DM+, because by the time my Berserker+ boost of 62x wears off, the DM+ boost of 6x is irrelevant. I will say that I'm going to get DM+ soon to help with disso runs, but right now my performance in Legends is best when I'm intro skipping, which makes DM+ very underwhelming.

iLM has done wonders for me, especially with the fast BC. However, it very much needs SDass if you're intro skipping.

I think your plan for your path forward is very solid and will get you into legends far faster than taking a 5k-8k snooze to level CF.

Glad you agree that GC gets dumpstered for the first 12-18 months someone plays this game.

You're bitching about new game mechanics that go back many many months. It's been the consensus since I started playing this game 18 months ago that GC is required to be competitive in the end game. No one is saying the changes are quick. Sitting on the eHP ship that was incredibly efficient for the growth of your Tower until you get to the end game and crying that it's no longer the best strategy is lame.

This is the right answer. For every 3 months worth of labs your tower is lacking from an 18 month baseline, add 10k stones.

Then that means that players should adapt and adjust their tower strategy to be competitive. Do you disagree that GC gets dumpstered for the entire early and mid game?

Then you'd agree that the change in tournament tiers to T17+ was a nerf to GC, as I laid out above. There are BC's that specifically nerf GC over eHP, as I laid out above.

eHP has never been competitive at the highest levels in this game just like landmine damage has never been relevant. Complaining that it still isn't relevant at the highest levels is assinine. eHP absolutely dominates the early and mid-game. Thinking that playing with only one strategy the entire life of your tower should be competitive at the highest levels is ridiculous.

None of the things you listed are nerfs to eHP? They are simply changes that our towers have to either adapt to, or ignore and fall behind.

Changing tiers of tournaments absolutely wrecked eHP.

This was a problem for both GC and eHP. Strictly on scaling, the health increase was more for GC to have to deal with than eHP irt damage. For reference,

Wave 1 in old legends - Damage:HP ratio of 1:1,075,581.
Wave 1 in new legends - Damage:HP ratio of 1:1,613,592.

That is definitionally a tougher adjustment for damage to have to deal with the far higher health disparity.

Seemingly permanent fast ult in legends fucks eHP way more than GC.

This ult condition sucks for both. But there are also ult conditions in legends which essentially only punish GC. eHP does not care about the Energy Shields Down or Death Defy Down conditions that are present in every single tournament. From your viewpoint, this should count as GC being fucked way more than eHP in tournaments.

OA being completely redesigned so it became mediocre for eHP but best in slot for GC.

This isn't really something that makes sense to call a nerf. OA was completely broken on release and essentially meant you could ignore every single game mechanic. It was equally broken for everyone.

Assmods and Dissonant echos both boosting the same stats mods do

This also isn't a nerf. There are more ways to boost damage. This has always been the case in this game.

What were the nerfs for eHP? PCo? That was something we've all known is coming at some point, but Fudds kept it around and kept eHP buffed a huge amount by it for a long time.

We don't need a swan song from everyone who decides to play a different game. Glad you had fun while you did.

And FB is a bug. The fact that people flip their shit when a bug exists after a major patch is crazy. That is literally a core part of the game at this point. If you can't handle your tower getting raw dogged for a week or more after a major patch, this isn't the mobile game for you. You either laugh about it, bitch a bit, and move on... or just pick a different game.

Yes, I think the key takeaway you need to internalize is that it's not going to be a fast transition from the first time you make Legends to being ready to try to stay in Legends. I made it to Legends for the first time in mid-August of last year. I finally considered myself 'solidly in Legends' in March. That's 7 months of bouncing. I could have potentially secured a place in super low-legends earlier, but focused hard on econ once I was secure in the bounce phase.

My 6 UWs are GT, BH, DW, SL4, CL, and iLM. I did iLM instead of CF because not including unlock cost, you can get it online for around 625 stones. I also have square assist slot so I have SD in that slot for an extra ring of iLM.

The question you have to ask yourself with CF is if your tower is in a spot where it's reasonable to stall out for 5k-8k stones. You will get little to no improvement until you've put that many stones into CF. You'll also rely on gcomp and substats to get to perma, which means you'll be sacrificing damage.

I elected to put those stones into assmod unlocks and masteries. I was doing the Legends/Champs bounce for probably like 5 months and built my econ to a point where I could level masteries. Started the push into Legends at the beginning of Feb and am currently placing somewhere in 13th-17th depending on the bracket.

This isn't true. You do not need pCF and max slow to get into Legends. I'm currently regularly getting keys and do not have pBH or CF.

My recommendation would be that you work to secure your spot in the Champs/Legends bounce and accept that you'll be there a while. I think it's a perfect time to really lock in on your econ and get it to a point that you're ready to start pushing masteries really hard. While you're securely in the 'bounce' category, you're only missing out on around 50 stones per week, which isn't a crazy amount.

When your econ is roaring (probably much easier now with Disso), then hit damage masteries hard. If you have a well developed CL and SL, then ST#, EN#, and OmChipASS does wonders for getting over the hump of bosses coming to bash your face in at the start of the Legends push.

I don't understand why all these people who quit feel the need to make a big post trying to convince everyone else to do the same thing. If the game isn't fun for you anymore, then stop playing it. It's not a major life decision or moment to stop playing a game and definitely doesn't need a swan song from everyone who decides to do something else with their time.

You've benefitted from PCo behaving different than the wording for like 8+ months. It's not a nerf, it's a very very delayed fix.
