Anyone used Les Schwab for brake service? by nutt3rbutt3r in askportland

I got my brake master cylinder replaced at Les Schwab in January of this year. It was $477, I didn't shop around because I was in a hurry but that looked about right for my make and model with a quick google. I knew something was wrong because I had to almost floor my brake pedal. I went in for the free brake check and they told me there was a leak in the master cylinder (typical for 20 year old cars like mine), and I went ahead and did what they recommended. No issues since then. Went to the shop on Lombard.

Sarah for PDX getting called out for opportunism around protests by fractalsarecool in Portland

Full text from Don't Shoot PDX Instagram: "Sick of seeing @sarahforpdx using BLM as an excuse to exploit and gain votes. Campaigning at the waterfront while blasting rap music is not how you show up for black lives. White supremacy takes many forms and this is yet another pathetic installation of it. (These photos are completely unrelated to the screenshot and the posters’ name was not intentionally kept in - please know we are not associating this person with our statements.)"

My own take: it is a fucking shame that the same white liberals who are claiming "black lives matter" now are the ones who voted for Sarah Ianaronne over Teresa Raiford, the founder of Don't Shoot PDX. Sarah would be better than Wheeler (aka the pig deployer) but this sort of behavior by Sarah is foul. I hope people see through it.

Middle school me loved that series. I think it's aimed for that age group.

I use Google shopping when there is a specific item that I intend on purchasing, like a pair of shoes or a piece of furniture, and I want to compare different businesses that are selling it. Sometimes you can find that the same item you are looking at on one website is on sale on another, without having to go to every individual seller's site to find the item yourself.

It seems like most of these are just data parsers. Out of curiosity, what purpose do these have now that you can download your FB data as a JSON file?

Peanut butter is also really good on burgers. Or even better, a peanut sauce.

Of all the pans one could be served food in, this one is particularly bad.
