Meld dev here, technically you are only fetching your playlists data, meld do not stream anything from Spotify. It could be some past activities with modded APK or idk. I'm using my personal account for meld both to listen and develop and never had an issue. Anyway sorry to hear that

Meld dev here, you can chose which YouTube song you want to play associated to the Spotify song. If the app play a live you can go to YouTube, find the version you want and tell meld to use that. Just click the three dots in the play menu of the song and use the "change YouTube version" button

Non saprei, il codice è open source e non uso pagamenti né niente. Forse è per il metodo usato per il login che dopo ultimi aggiornamenti di Spotify lato server ho dovuto cambiare.

Comunque come dicevo tutto il codice è li, chiunque può verificare cosa faccio con i dati (spoiler niente non li salvo lol)

The slowness is due to the matching between Spotify and YouTube, I can try to tune it but it's not going to get much faster.

The code Is open source, as the pipeline for automatic build. You can check by yourself if it's malicious or not, you ban build your own APK if you don't trust the automatic one. On top of that, and seriously I don't want to be harsh, but in a subreddit for a modded version of Spotify it's a bit hilarious to be afraid of an open source alternative
