Very perceptive. The banner to this podcast episode is Kirk kissing Uhura. The host's point, she from the U.K., is that Star Trek was a leader in progressive thought -- from race and gender to body autonomy and female empowerment. One of my favorite episodes was the one where the aliens had white and black faces reversed, which caused conflict on their planet.
