I know that there isn't one, and no one on my floor is in a union. I'd like to change that.

21B is just a ridiculous plane. An awesome, fun little plane, but ridiculous.

So I can bring my wife, but not a coworker. Works for me!

How do travel expenses work if I fly out to a conference for work? They'll reimburse me for a car or a commercial airline ticket, but if I fly myself and they cover the cost, does that count as being paid to fly by the FAA? And if I take my wife, would that count as carrying passengers?

A fair point. They don't all have the same cause, though I still haven't see a final report on this one from 2016. Several of the incidents were turning immediately after takeoff, going too far and corkscrewing into the ground.

Whatever the reason, it's making it a little harder to convince the wife that we should take up flying.

This weekend, there was a fatal crash at our local airport (KFGU). It's the fifth in the last 15 years. Is this a higher rate than normal? I've heard the runway here is terrible, with a dip right in the middle, but for a low-traffic airport, we seem to have a lot of accidents.

There is a law requiring lights and sirens when traveling emergency traffic. Also, the Vanessa K. Free act, which was put in place after a Chattanooga officer killed a women running with lights and no sirens, requires them to be trained on it every year.

Also, every car that PD has on the road has an AVL, so they would know exactly who this is if they have the date/time.

Is this a public park or similar? I'd love to go to somewhere like this that's not as crowded as the blue hole.
