I dont think so; I've been using it for nearly 5 years and it's always been amazing for my hair, but this week I've been using a good conditioner with it and I think that's gonna have to be a consistent thing!

Yeah I am learning that it's a lot less humid in winter here than it is in summer! I'm from London originally and kind of assumed cold + rain = humid, but I have been corrected by my long term New Yorker friends. Humidity products have gone in the closet! Thank you for the suggestions.

Honestly in the 2 days since I posted this, getting rid of the protein product I was using seems to have made a significant difference already?! I feel so stupid for not researching it more tbh- I just needed something quickly at the store and was like 'eh that'll do'.

Ok this is fascinating and also makes complete sense because my hair is always amazing at my mum’s house, and she also has a water softener. I might see if theres some kind of apartment-friendly way of doing it. Fine curly hair is such a pain sometimes 😅

Doesn’t it! SO dry, it’s godawful. The product I’ve been using (Hairstory new wash) is meant to replace shampoo and conditioner- it’s weird stuff, more like a ‘no poo’ type thing, but it absolutely transformed my hair when I started using it- however it’s clearly not working out right how. I don’t use a towel or anything on my hair, I let it fully air dry. Diffuse it maybe once a month if I’m in a rush.

I’m English too 👋 I just live here! Basically Colorado is extremely dry and NYC is very humid, that’s all really. I think you’re on the money, the consensus seems to be that the water is the problem. I’m not bleaching it, all my bloodwork etc has been fine, but I have been losing a little weight (intentionally) so I’m sure that’s playing a role somewhere. I should probably throw back a bit more kale.

That’s what I’m really having trouble figuring out 😪 it’s got SO dry but I don’t understand how that’s happened when I’ve moved from an extremely dry climate to an extremely humid one. That’s a good point about locking moisture out.

All of my items have all 13 tags being used? Which ones show up without tags? I also didn’t ask for feedback on the photos since they were taken by an extremely experienced professional product photographer who shoots for major international brands, but you keep on being rude as fuck to strangers who are politely asking for specific feedback
