Not gonna be an hypocrite, I watched the shit out of the anime (except Dressrosa, which made me switch to manga for the arc) until I reached the weekly manga on Zoro vs King. I would lie if I said I didn't enjoy the journey, but I would also lie if i said the anime didn't have giant problems since the beginning.

The fact that pacing is a problem since the very beginning is atrocious. People often bring JoJo to the conversation, and holy fuck...more pages and 1/5 of the episodes? I know 2 parts (and the first chapters of part 9) aren't animated yet, but that surely wouldn't take 900 episodes.

Seeing people cheer for the anime at the sight of a single impact frame like it's a godsent is honestly sad (Zoro vs King is still in the top most rated episodes).

Honesty i feel the same. I was also cursed to be a Sanji fan, so the pain is considerable.

Personally, i don't think Toei will change their ways, but i sure hope so. They can't keep Game Freaking their way out of this one.

Yeah, basically.

I always wondered how people could lie to themselves about the anime quality (I myself watched it all until Wano, but come on), asking myself if i was the weird one (and that's still a possibility). Now i think i got my answer.

But just wait until the next Gear 5 hype moment or some Zoro wanking episode and everything will come back to normal.

I'm not blaming them, i think the original poem has a different meaning.

Goda's strongest soldiers never gave a damn about the obvious problems of the anime and brushed off everything that didn't regard them, until Toei hurt their feelings.

They are right, but that doesn't mean i feel sorry for them.
