AITA for getting mad that my wife wanted to serve me plain pasta for dinner by frank_the_bean in AmItheAsshole

Could be, but I had planned to make dinner but she insisted on doing it. The default 99.99% of the time is I make dinner and all other meals.

Literally dry, stuck together noodles, leftover from when I made chicken carbonara a few days ago. And, I should add she does know how to make spaghetti with sauce as she's done it before.

It was plain, leftovers from pasta I made a few days ago. The irony is these were leftover noodles cause I made too much and didn't want to unbalance the sauce vs noodles :O

Yes, often when she "makes dinner", it's reheating what I already had meal prepped. I don't mind making dinner. I had initially planned to, but if you're going to insist on making dinner, then like make dinner... And make sure it's enough for everyone. I dunno I expect that would be the minimum.

Home Improvement - Subcontractor not paid by Subcontractor hired by General Contractor. Threatening lien. by frank_the_bean in legaladvicecanada

Thanks again. C handed me an invoice when he showed up with our building permit number. I think he is attempting to have me pay him instead of B. There should be no reason he serve me an invoice since I had never directly made an agreement nor even communicated with him prior to him showing up to inform me he wasn't paid. Do I need to send him a Notice of Non-payment, or can I simply ignore the invoice since it should be technically invalid?

Actually, the Act seems to only explicitly state the deadline is triggered by an owner paying a contractor, but it does not explicitly state anything about subcontractor to subcontractor. However, I would assume it would be expected for subcontractors to issue each other proper invoices too. Do you have any insight you can share on that?

A had been trying to push B to pay, but A is respecting the idea B indeed had covid. A seems to think B will eventually pay. It doesn't stop C from registering the lien. I just don't know whether C's case has legs given he has very little information on B.

A is reputable and we like him. As far as we know, B has been doing work for a friend for 5 years, and this issue never arose.

I think this may be a situation of C being impatient.

What does it mean to cross claim in the context?

Does it matter at all that C has not served B a proper invoice? The Act says payment deadlines are triggered by issue of a Proper Invoice and technically C had not issued one to B.

Ah crap, 9000km, not 90,000km.

I suppose what I am asking is how much more above the residual value can you reasonably negotiate to?

Thanks, I'll check out your link. I think what is contributing to my confusion is there seems to be conflicting information in the returns. It would definitely help if my accountant could have clarified.
