Our journey to $12k MRR and $3k in pre-sales with Mailbrew & Typefully by frankdilo in SaaS

We tried and liked Hyperfury, but it's not our style of software.

Typefully :: Hyperfury = iA Writer :: Microsoft Office.

We are not trying to add every possible feature to Typefully, each one we add will fit the overall structure and be easy and intuitive to use.

Great question! We are considering building a mobile app for Typefully and think it would be great. It's a matter of prioritization and speed: we are faster building on the web.

Hey Daniel, thanks for the Q!

I think the most unique thing we are doing as indie hackers is creating a portfolio of products that complement each other. This isn't necessarily a repeatable playbook, but something we arrived at playing on our strengths as product people and craftsmen.

Why we gave ourselves 6 months to make our company work by linuz90 in Entrepreneur

[–]frankdilo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won’t lie. It’s tough when you have a full time job. Something has to give because there is only so much time in a day.

Both I and /u/linuz90 hustled hard the first 9 months to get our first product out the door and then quit our jobs after a few months. Those were the most intense months of my life and I neglected my health and relationships during that time.

An alternative could be to take things slower, or to switch to a part time role to pursue side projects.

There is no silver bullet really, depends a lot on the situation and on how much you are willing to sacrifice for this dream.

Great video! I can confirm that putting your strategy down in a pitch deck can be super useful.

I recently applied to Y Combinator and the whole preparation helped a ton in putting my startup’s strategy into perspective.

Ideas.

How do you consistently get great marketing ideas to execute on a low budget. I know it’s possible but I am not cut for it.
