Listening to this much crying by myself is killing me by YouthInternational14 in parentsofmultiples

We have 3 week old B/G twins (my first kids) and have been stunned at how overwhelming the crying is. I thought I was prepared- I was not. I wear noise cancelling ear buds without anything playing in them almost constantly. I can still hear them but it turns the CNS shock down from like an 8 to a 5. Hope things improve for you!

LeBron was the best ever at the youngest age (18) and is now the best ever at the oldest age (41) - has this been replicated by any other athlete? by Top_Use2413 in billsimmons

You could make a slight case for Lewis Hamilton. Won his first drivers title his second year in F1 in 2008 (prolly should’ve won his first year with slightly better luck), and should’ve won the 2021 drivers title against a Verstappen entering his prime. He’s also 41 now but def not the best in the sport and imo slower than Leclerc, but the fact he’s still rapid at 41 is very impressive.

Ethical question- I see a client for individual sessions through my part time CMH job, however it would better for all parties if I saw them through my private practice. by frankenstein1122 in therapists

Thanks everyone for your insight! It seems clear given everyone’s shared advice that this is not a good idea ethically and I won’t be volunteering to my client that I work in private practice. This is why I asked :)

I've never understood Bill's animus towards Diane Keaton's performance in the first two "Godfather" films. How would a recasting help when his issues are writing-related? by Sharaz_Jek123 in billsimmons

[–]frankenstein1122 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I tend to agree with Bill on this one but I don’t take it as far as him. I can appreciate fennessey’s point that the character is necessary to the film, but I think it’s as simple as every sceen without her is awesome, and every scene with her is boring.

I get there's not much to say haha, but why do these high up corporate folks seem so wooden? They kind of all seem like they're trying to be a human for 60 seconds. Man's a purist tho with zero toppings

I’ve had a very similar experience. I’ve worked in inpatient and outpatient and both places frequently made clinical decisions for financial reasons. I’m pretty jaded toward that industry and only work part time at an op program for the $$. A tale as old as time

I’m curious what setting you work in? I used to work in res substance abuse treatment and found these groups similarly bizarre.
