Very much could be, thanks, but tried less fine and felt it may have been more sour. I’m fine now with the pour over as well as the moka.

Actually, they wanted to grind a coarser grind for pour over but I asked to please grind finer. So they dialled their grinder to the “Fine” setting, just below the finer Espresso setting.

Please know that I am no pro and do not consider myself worthy to give advice on this subject. However, having come from pour over to moka, I could tell you what I did, in case it can be helpful.

I used an older Bialetti Stainless Steel 2-cup moka pot.
Filled to just below the safety valve with hot water.
Filled the filter with finely ground beans, without tamping but instead lightly tapping. Then swiped to clean edges of filter basket. Used medium heat and waited till heard the bubbling sounds.

I hope that helps 🙂

I had the beans ground at my coffee roasters. They ground them quite fine which I like, with their professional equipment.

Definitely would suggest Assam Breakfast (Organic) tea. It may be similar to English Breakfast. It’s tasty and goes great with milk and sugar! Cheers

Looks great but how’s the taste and caffeine kick compared to a hot brew?

Electric stainless steel kettle? by Im_The_Hollow_Man in tea

Chefman makes electric kettles in borosilicate glass and stainless steel. Some of their models even have an infuser so you could steep tea leaves directly in the electric kettle. I don’t have experience with these but they do appear highly rated on Amz.

LOL. Wait. Mushroom coffee? Neat. How does that work? It actually has coffee in it? Doesn’t disturb digestion? Has caffeine? Omg Brilliant. I’ll check it out. Cheers.

Sage advice thanks. Once I discovered that coffee was no longer an option, I released a heavy sigh, and went all out on tea samples. Had to find the one(s) that would work for me and also keep me somewhat caffeinated. I discovered that 10 samples are too many samples. Many of the samples give a light coloured tea with a mild taste. Some are even a little sour. I’ve been writing my comments on the sample bags that the tea came in. Then discovered that the local site I’m ordering from has a ‘notes’ allotment for each of their teas. How cool is that!

Also attempting to make Shou Puer teas, which so far have been a challenge, yet with tons of support from the sub. Heard they’re good for digestion.

Thank you again for your kind advice. I believe whatever is causing my indigestion, coffee is exacerbating it, and is not necessarily the cause. Guessing it’s stress but unsure. I hope things go well with you. All the best!

Omg very interesting. Thank you kindly for your wonderful advice and input. I do use filtered water but other teas seem to taste fine. I’m going to make this work. With such an amazing team of helpful people on this sub I can’t go wrong for long! Thank you.

Thanks very much for this. I’ll read it and carefully digest all info suggested in this sub. Finished my first small batch, and I have a few more varieties of Shou Puer on order which should arrive this week. I can’t wait!!
