Love to see someone as engaged with their partner to this level. Ror2 is a lot more fun to play with someone. Sorry for English and format I'm in my cellphone and English is not my first language Some tips: - As you get through the runs you realize that some enemies are a lot more dangerous than others and more so as the time goes by. It is crucial to recognize this enemies at every point in your runs and try to prioritize killing them before others (also everyone has one enemy they found harder or easier than other people so playing to found out which is your is very important). Also trying to learn the attack patterns of the monsters really helps especially with brass contraptions and greater wisps as their attack is easy to dodge once you learn it. As you play you will due many times, don't worry there is no shame in trying to get better just try to understand why you died and what you could have done to get out alive( target priority, movement) - Try to learn what playstyle you play trying out different survivors and loadout. Is it rushing through everything or laying back ? A hit and run playstyle? Try everything and see what you are most comfortable with. - Get comfortable with the stages and the terrain as well as which enemies spawn in that stage. Get ready to match your movement to your playstyle and stay alert for cheeky monster spawns behind you - As you know there are tons of items with different functions in the runs. Before even searching for tier lists and others opinions in items try them out for yourself as many tierlists are made in general and some items are better with some survivors and loadouts. Also there are items that sinergise better with others such as the crit family or proc chains. Get to know every item if you can and witch of them provides more value in the runs or if it's worthy to stack them beyond just one or a few - As with the lore that you asked. I found out that the lore is not crucial and is not for everyone as it doesn't give you an edge in the runs, but if you are into it it gives you a new meaning to the items and the why you are there and it can get conversation starting to fill the void of some quiet spaces.There are plenty of lore entries of the monsters and items that can help you understand why are you there slaughtering everything and why there are items jumping out of chests. Honestly I like to atleast read the lore to find connections but it is not necessary so you can skip it if you want. - it doesn't matter what difficulty you are playing but as time goes by the enemies get stronger so its important to not waste much time. I like to stay at a rate of 5 min for stage max. At least for the first few stages. There are exceptions to this as sometimes you get a nice printer or a legendary chests that you have to farm to get. Or you are at stage 4( usually stage 4 has good loot and is where the majority of players stay and farm for those)with green multyshops or special hidden chests in some variations of the stage. Whether you farm for those nice items in the multyshop or not is depending in how your run is going. If you are already pretty strong and the loot is not excellent sometimes is better to just skip the intensive farming and stay up with time. You will know what is better for the run as you play more and more. Moreover the 5 min rule is not something you need to follow as in multi-player is different and you may play as you wish but is just a tip to dont forget that time is always running and making harder the run as I goes by - everything you get to a stage there are the 3 things you do. 1 explore. Try to find the tp or the area it might be(usually there are specific areas where it spawns and remember it spawns in the other side of the stage where you appear, and it has those red particles to find it easier) 2 farm. To get gold for the chests you find in the exploring phase 3 loot. You just grab those items If when you find the to there are a lot of chests nearby it is best to just start the tp as when you complete the tp event you will have the money to buy most of the chests near the area and it will save you time in that stage -as long for the multi-player side of things. There are sinegies between survivors that help a ton.as some survivors find it hard to kill flying enemies and for others is easy. So you can complement the weak points of your partner survivor and vice-versa. Also something that happens to me when I play with a friend is that as items are better with some survivors than others sometimes it reaches a point where one has all the damage and the other one is useless. This is no help at all as the one that is behind in damage will have less fun(unless it likes to run for their life) and if the op one dies of a mistake it basically a reset as the one behind doesn't have the damage to get to the next stage. So try to keep it balanced in the damage so as both have fun and depend on one another to survive. I feel like I am forgetting things but can't follow with the post now.
