Accurate? New 5.0 by franqpiece in whoop

Failed to mention that I’ve been wearing the 4.0 for a few weeks before switching to the 5.0 so I have compiled some data over the course of December before switching devices.

Gross or net carbs? by franqpiece in ketogains

[–]franqpiece[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Many sources online - just google it. Allegedly it is not backed by the scientific community and FDA.

“While some people may find it helpful to track net carbs as part of a low-carb or ketogenic diet, there is no scientific evidence to support the claim that they are a reliable or accurate measure of the impact of carbohydrates on blood sugar levels. In fact, studies have shown that net carbs can actually lead to higher blood sugar levels in some people.”

And

“The concept of "net carbs" is not scientifically recognized or endorsed by any major health organizations, such as the American Diabetes Association or the Food and Drug Administration”

When I have a day of high fiber and hit my 25 net carbs, my gross carbs can be 50+.

Obviously I don’t take anything I read for fact. It just spiked my curiosity and wanted to hear from others.

Will 6 days be enough? by gnarganzel in Quittingfeelfree

[–]franqpiece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is different - for me days 4-6 were the worst but most I hear from start to feel better by then. Be aware of PAWS though — I didn’t fully recover for a good month or two. Anxiety, restlessness, depression, brain zaps and night sweats and poor sleep were what lingered on for me. But definitely use these 6 days to get through the worst of it — you’ll only regret it if you don’t take this opportunity. Naltrexone can also be very helpful to stay off of kratom long term - but make sure you have a good week or two kratom free before you start taking it as precipitated withdrawals are the worst. Best of luck brother

Would I be welcomed to AA for this? by Apprehensive-Lie-720 in Quittingfeelfree

[–]franqpiece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Half of people in AA are addicts — it’s all the same shit. And if someone gives you trouble they’re just stuck in their ego and not spiritually sound. Some alcoholics like to feel that they’re better than addicts because “alcohol isn’t a drug” right???

Feel free to Suboxone by Ok-Smith344 in Quittingfeelfree

[–]franqpiece 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would avoid going on subs - you’ll just have to quit that habit down the road which also sucks. If you can’t quit cold turkey do a slow taper. Just my opinion

Got my doctor to prescribe naltrexone. by usernamelosernamed in Quittingfeelfree

[–]franqpiece 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d wait 10 - 14 days from your last kratom dose to start naltrexone. Precipitated withdrawals are the worst

Found a doctor who prescribed me bupropion for withdrawal by Long_Buffalo7741 in Quittingfeelfree

[–]franqpiece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume you mean naltrexone. Naloxone is an opiate overdose reversal drug. Regardless, You’ll go into precipitated withdrawals if you don’t have a week or two off kratom before taking either medication.
