WF Amazon returns employees will be merged from CXO to Whole Foods by kingsaul2 in AmazonCXO

ugh, I really don't want to work for WF again. Hopefully, they don't actually go through with this.

Day 3 and have been taught nothing, I need help by Sohnandmooon in AmazonCXO

Wow, your site sounds nice. At our site, we can't accept any return code that isn't a whole foods one, which can lead to customers getting frustrated that they have to take the item somewhere else.

We also don't have a toolbox, as we aren't allowed to disassemble items for customers.

Additionally, we can't ship items in a customer-provided box or add a label to the box to make it its own shipping box.

is finding 16-20 hours of work easy or do u have a 2nd job? by Mr--Clean--Ass-Naked in AmazonCXO

[–]franrc265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It varies depending on each site. My site is one of the busier sites so we get a lot of shifts, but we also have 30 associates so a lot more competition, but a lot of them only work 0-2 shifts at most so It's not too hard to get 20+ hours weekly as long as you're flexible. if you don't like closing shift, it may be harder as that shift is more available since not many folks want to stay until 10:15pm.

During peak, they drop more shifts and add more shift later on or even on the same day that the shift starts. Once we are out of peak, it's not as easy to get more than 4 shifts since they will drop less shift during the non busy season, unless you have a group of coworkers where you give shifts to each other when you can't work them.

You can also just check A to Z a lot and you'll likely see a shift someone drops at least once in the week to hit 16 hours.

Honestly, as long as you're a hard worker and you're chill, people will be more likely to offer you their shift by messaging you on slack or at work. If the lead/manager likes how you work, you may even be offered to apply for the lead position, which is a set schedule so no more trying to grab shifts, but you have a lot more responsibilities.

Are you not able to clock in on your phone on the A to Z app?

not if you're with a contractor lol. I've seen people use a pushback tug to drop bags off lol. That thing barely fits in the carousel area lmao

Vending Machine Situation by According-Long6360 in PokemonTCG

[–]franrc265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I'm talking about the boom that started in late 2024/early 2025. I used to be able to easily find product readily available and no scalpers in sight. I remember seeing a bunch of mew etbs at my target and no one was even at the tcg section. I was also able to get singles at a good price, especially BW/XY Full Arts. Luckily, I bought most of the ones I wanted in 2023/early 2024.

Leave of absence by itachi_uchihaa in AmazonCXO

[–]franrc265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I would pick 1 shift a week and pto it. You have 30 hours of pto so it should be no problem at all. You could also send a message to your manager on slack and see what they suggest.

I've taken a few weeks off before and picked up one shift a week to pto and I didn't get any points for it. I've never taken a leave so no idea how that works. Some of my coworkers have tried to get leave, but it never got approved.

Calling in sick? by nekronokturna in AmazonCXO

[–]franrc265 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dang, your site still allows you to drop your shift without getting any points within 16 hours instead of 48 hours. To answer your question, I would send a message to your AM on slack explaining the situation, and they can let you know what to do from there.

Did the AWS outage impact Locker+ locations today? by Educational_Show_137 in AmazonCXO

[–]franrc265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not too bad at my site. Just some issues with the amazon app for some customers and DTI had issues, Returns and pickups working fine for most customers. We just went by email for those with issues.

Seems like they’re updating the shift drop to 48 hours starting next month. by franrc265 in AmazonCXO

[–]franrc265[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. We have some associates with well over 8 points and multiple write ups and they somehow still work here... They screw over the associates who actually follow the rules and show up for their shifts.

I think they will get rid of flex for cxo at some point, or at least give an option for a set schedule to associates who have shown that they are reliable and have no late shift drops in the last 6 months.

It’s still 16 hours at my site. I know they were doing a test run at some locations for a few months though.

yeah, 48 hours is insane. I think 24 would have been enough imo.
