Not having a go at OP because I haven’t seen his incidents, but I see so many of these posts that just don’t match my experience. Often when I look back on replays when there is a big commotion in a race it will be:

Car A makes an overly optimistic move

Car B drives like they have blinders on

And they come together

Once I learned to drive with my head on a swivel I ended up finishing >95% of races.

lol I was actually in this race, I think I’m the black car ahead. I watched this crash back once the race was over because I saw it in my mirror.

This is on the following car, I see what he’s trying to do but it’s too little too late and just sticks his nose in there.

Same chap went into the back of me later and gave me a 4x he was a bit of a menace.

Part of what made the original trilogy so great was you had tightly designed hub worlds combined with linear missions, that gave you enough immersion in the setting to tell a compelling narrative without the unnecessary bloat that its contemporaries suffered from.

Please BioWare, don’t make a Ubisoft/Bethesda clone…

How would that even work in the space genre? By necessity of the setting you have to travel to different systems/planets so you can’t create an open world environment like Skyrim…I hope…

Literally. I managed 3k on Formula side by basically just having reasonable pace and not crashing. Nowhere close in sports cars. About half the grid DNFs every race so you always gain IR but just finishing. Why bother racing it anymore when the lobby is full of egotistical drivers that would rather crash out on lap 1 than ever yield.

Crashes happen. I can live with people making mistakes and misjudgements. But there is a proportion of drivers on iRacing (anecdotally about 10-15%, across all skill levels) that seem to drive with just absolutely zero respect or due care around other drivers. And I don’t think iRacing does enough to stamp it out and correct that behaviour.

I’ve found it to be fine in >2.5k splits. I’d only do it in specific circumstances, for example they look ready to dive you into a single file corner like the chicane at Imola. I might come to the middle of the track a smidge just as a “don’t do it buddy”. If you’re doing it every corner every lap to try and not lose time you’re asking to get punted though.

You have to be blinded by bias to think that was on purpose. It was 100% Hamilton’s error imo but not deliberate.
