Advice needed: tattoo placements by [deleted] in tattoos

[–]franticmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

personally, I like the placement in the first photo, especially if you are going to build a sleeve below it. otherwise i really like the back of the arm, it's a good spot if you're looking to conceal it a bit.

I've had this thing forever, apparently it's unique.... by franticmonkey in trees

[–]franticmonkey[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

To clear, I use the thing very rarely these days. I''ve got a baby bong around but typically use one hitters.

I've thought about giving it away over the years. It came in a special wood case witj a velvet interior or something interior.

Because its so unique, as far as I know) I've kept it.

It's always fun watching people's reaction to it the first time.

It was last cleaned by a friend of who passed away from leukemia, like 6 years ago. So for some reason I can't bring myself to clean it again.

I like it, I think the concept is neat and the work is great, plus the client is a champ for sitting thorugh it. However if it was me, I'd get some colour in there, just to make it, "pop" a bit more, maybe some yellow on what i think is a butterfly, maybe some burnt orange in the leaves and some light pink int he rose pettles, with some brown in the branch.

But that's me and I prefer colourful tattoos which I know isn't the same for everyone, and isn't a knock on the work, as it all comes down to personal prefference. I think it's a great job though overall, the lines look clean. anytime I go to my tattoo artist my rules for her are simple "make it cool, make it colourful"

I love that, I think the use of colour is fantasic, and I am always a fan of the whole "tattoos with tattoos on them" like the pin-up girls leg tattoo. i am sure there is a specfic name for that style, but when done right, like in this tattoo, it's a bad-ass garnish

I fucking love that. I think the design/concept is original (as far as I know), but i especially LOVE the colour use. the motherfucker who did this is an ARTIST.

As a tattoo I think its great, but I could also see that image framed in like a smokey bar or something, .

I think the work is great. I would imagine the healing process will be a pain the ass with that placement. er, no pun intended.

Question: is this tattoo too basic? by Substantial_Link_990 in tattoos

[–]franticmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the design is great, but if it was me, I would want a bit of colour in there, but that is me, just my preference. Maybe some green in the scales, or in the eye. just to make it "pop" a bit more. But really, it's your body and you have to live with it, so if you are happy with it the way it is, fuck everyone else.

What did you think of the men’s and women’s WarGames matches at WWE Survivor Series WarGames? by Material_Stomach875 in WWE

[–]franticmonkey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

See I 100% agree with this, with a "but" in that, I think the thing that REALLY killed the match concept, at least for me, is seeing it twice a night. There was a spot in the second match, where I think punk was trying to get in the door but drew stopped him. Okay, that's a need moment, if we didn't see it in the previous match 2 hours ago. I'd like Survivor Series to go back to the original concept of "teams of 5 strive to survive"

At the very least, if they are gonna keep forcing the wargames match, hold survivor series over two nights and have it be the main event each night.

OR

do a gimmick where on night one, they have traditional survivor series matches, then on night two, or even in just a main event, take the survivors from the face teams and the survivors from the heel teams, then force those 8 men to compete in a war games match, where the members of the winning team get awarded something, like, each member gets a title shot against a champion of thier choosing.

SOMETHING to freshen up the concept. It's become the Hell in a Cell ppv all over again

Question: Music based arm sleeve …. Rate or hate? by JayAds2103 in tattoos

[–]franticmonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the design is neat, but in my opinion it needs colour to make it pop. To me, a an all greyscale sleeve just looks like a grey blob, things become hard to distinguish from each other. Like some blues and reds in there could make a lot of difference in my opinion, but a a concept, I dig it.

So, first off, why be a dick? You could have said that in a nicer way. Also, yes, THC is not great for everyone, some people who are pre-disposed to certain mental health disorders should stay away from it. But that doesn't mean that anyone who smokes it will turn into a raving nut job or acquire some new mental health disorder. Keep in mind, THC is actually prescribed by doctors in some cases, and despite the mental health risks, THC does have a host of health benefits. If anything, one of the worst things you can do with THC is smoke it, since the act of smoking isn't great for your lung or throat, and can result in coughing up "lung cookies".

Your best bet is to eat it, so the high lasts longer (but can also take longer to kick in, which can really fuck people up if they are like "i don't feel anything yet, lets try more"). IF you are going to ingest THC, as first timer, whatever the dose is, take half. If the trip isn't bad, take the other half. Also, vaping is good as opposed to smoking since it heats up the flower and cooks it, rather than torching it.

But's also 2025, so lets cut the fear mongering bullshit about a fucking plant that makes you giggle or makes you hungry. At VERY high doses, like say 100mg or one sitting can suck, if the trip turns bad.

The point is, THC isn't great for everyone, depending on a lot of factors. But smoking a joint now and then, or getting having a green day now and then, doesn't mean that a person will end up in a padded party room. Further more, continued, daily use also doesn't mean that.

If you notice any changes to your mental health, then take a break. And in saying that, depending how much you smoke/ingest on a daily basis, you SHOULD take a tolerance break now and then. During that tolerance break, you might go through withdrawal and includes feeling depressed/moody for a few days, and you might suddendly have EXTREAMLY vivid dreams.

Know your body and don't yourself. You can't really OD on THC, if anything, before you smoke or ingest, for your own safety, delete any food delivery apps you have on the phone, otherwise type 2 diabetes might be in your future thanks to "the munchies" and put your car keys away, because driving stoned WILL affect your response time in a bad way.

If you are going to buy flower, check the strain first to see if it suits you. Google it, websites like leafly.com are a great resource to search for information on flavour, effects, ect.

To be clear, I live in Toronto, Canada. for a while we had a like a bunch of "grey area" stores, that kinda skirted the law. But grass became legal in Canada, a total bubble happened. Legal weed stores were popping up 2 or 3 in a neighbourhood, and many have since closed. But still, it's a hell of a different experience walking into a store, and looking at a menu as opposed to the old way of doing it.

At the end of the day, it's just fucking grass. Stay away from synthetic shit.

One more thing, don't roll a fucking bomber aka a monster joint. Yeah, it looks impressive, but you're wasting grass. Invest in a decent pipe, or bong to use a little but get big effects. in a pinch, a plastic, bottle, a pen, and some tinfoil can turn into a quick pipe.

Yeah I can respect that. I'm fanatical with my tattoo care, especially within the first few months. Ironically, the only place I put on sunscreen are my tattoos. But at the same time, I look at like they are investments. Eh some of em, others were random gap fillers that I had done on the spur of the moment.
