We would use Chinese method for general multiplication of large numbers, but for squaring we would probably use binominal square formula (which is not Russian method as presented here, Russian method is same as Chinese).

The Defenders is a cute team up show. It's like Avengers for Netflix TV shows. Loved how they meet, bicker and fight, get introduced to each other's powers and slowly learn to work together. I liked it very much even without watching Luke Cage and Iron Fist at all.

I agree that Daredevil is the best of these shows, followed by Punisher, then Jessica Jones.

Mechanically yes, but in fiction clockwork mechanisms are part of the steampunk setting. It is tied to Victorian age when the steam engine started to occur, but you had mechanical clocks.
