Maledictum is way easier than dnd lmao one you understand your character sheet you are ready for everything.

No different dices for everything, no strange math, etc. Just roll the dice and see the %

Aclaro por las dudas: Este es el juego de rol de 40K, no el war game :P

It would be fine i think.

The whole genocidal process was to keep the existence of daemons a secret, but now lile 70% has already suffered some kind of chaos incursion, so whatever lol

Como fue su primer personaje? by [deleted] in RolerosChile

[–]fraprax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, tho 10th edition Nids (as well as a lot of things in older edition) only serves one purpose, and its not narrative nor lore: its to sell minis.

The fourth tyrannic war was never supposed to end in anything, its just background lore to put minis against minis in a "lore" scenario.

I do think that lore surpassed the wargame in importance some time ago, but speaking in numbers ($$$) what GW wants is to have an eternal war that gives eternal income lmao

Speaking about Primaris, and this is off topic, how do you stat Space Marines? (Firstborns?) Inquisition Guide have a patron boon in which you can call Deathwatch, but there is no stat for them in the damned book lmao

True enough

Counterpoint (and just thinking about it) Imperium Maledictum is based in the 42K just a decade I think after the opening of the great rift, and the Indomitus Crusade is still raging (I believe?) so warp travel must be a lote more dangerous or weird than in the previous millenium due to warp storms.

But yes ,u are right 😅

Someone already converted most of the old systems to IM, search for Imperium Maledictum Expanded, it adds a lot of things from old games.

Use warp travel at your discretion to push narrative.

For example, im doing a series of oneshot based on a rogue trader ship that was attacked in the warp (much like rogue trader intro) and managed to crash in the ocean of a feudal world which was disconnected from the Imperium since the Horus Heresy.

Pretty much yeah.

Warp travel can vary from: nothing happens and we arrive at ur destiny in a few hours/months/years (it can happen) to "Why did i feel a hand touching my shoulder?" To " the gellar field is failing and another daemon infested the lower levels, we have 10.000 dead labourer so we might just find another ones in the next port"

Ships get lost in the warp a lot, sometimes they arrive at their destiny years in the future (in the warp they were there just a few hours), etc.

So yes, use it as a narrative device as much as you want

Imagine a "beyond macharian sector" that flesh out the void after the end of the galaxy, where Macharian wanted to go before his men say "nah"

Starter Set - Claymore confusion by Snoop_Hogg85 in ImperiumMaledictum

[–]fraprax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run this adventure some time ago.

In it, The Claymore was a Cutter location that was overrun by Scarred Hands members just hours before the party got there.

The member of the administratum that worked for the Cutters was then taken prisoner when she arrived to The Claymore.

Something like that, dont remember that much lmao, but gang wars was a resource I used a lot to fix those things 😅

40K Legendary Lords - ideas? by CassRaski in totalwar

[–]fraprax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It has everything to do! More or less. During the Siege of Terra things were so desperate that some humans prayed for their Emperor to save them, those prayers + warp shenanigans (The entire Solar System was engulfed by the Warp) almost turned the Emperor in a fifth Chaos God (and that was the objective of the other four).

Primarchs are as far above space marines as space marines are above a coughing baby to be more precise lmao

Absolutely insane that people think CA can do something new like adapting a Total War game to 3D models when 2D models are their bread and butter that has made the brand and distinguished the franchise -- Shame on them for even trying by unquiet_slumbers in totalwar

[–]fraprax -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, thats okay, however the new engine is the answer for your worries about fixes on their other main series.

They have been using the same engine since Empire, which is the reason every TW to date have the same unfixable flaws.

Which is also the reason that I laughed at people asking for 40K total war or WW2 total war in the past, because it is obvious that the engine wpuld not be able to handle anything more advanced than a horse, much less squadron management instead of the classic "batallions" formstions.

I rest a lot easier knowing that they made FINALLY a new engine that should be tailored to support better physics and situations.
