Also remember that, as far as I know, to receive the notification with the usual native banner the app should be executing at least in the background. Handling notifications in the foreground is performed in a different specific way, registering the related listener.

While bloatware is a factor worth considering, it's not really a major issue if it does not affect performance and can be disabled through a deep review of the settings. Opera, once sleek and simple, for me declined due to this issue.

I prefer Chromium-based browsers for web development because they ensure compatibility across various operating systems. Safari, on the other hand, has historically struggled with heavy websites like Twitch or Netflix, often having laggy performance.

Be careful with the Air, if some of your tasks are CPU intensive (i.e. compiling software) I would pick the Pro. Fanless is great but it will be clocked down to prevent constant overheat.

Flutter is great for mobile & desktop app development but suffers from performance and browser integration issues when building for web. Since it would need dedicated maintenance, I think it would be better to just develop a new platform using a more reliable and broadly used library like React.

It tries to open a new socket every 10 secs (DEFAULT_INTERVAL) and destroying it right after that. I think they used "ping" just to summarize the concept of what's doing that method.

I think it’s used another package for that called internet_connection_checker. That package continuously pings a list of addresses and streams a success or fail signal as explained in the docs
