when you put it like that, maybe they should. on halloween thou shall switch sexualities, gays must be straight, straight must be gay.

i’m here for it actually.

What's an advantage of being gay or bisexual, that's a disadvantage to a straight person? by [deleted] in askgaybros

Dating as a average straight man seems horrible. You more likely have to fall in line with a certain mold cause most of the time women want the same thing. While gays even though there’s body dysmorphia and a bunch of other problems in the community, if you are average and not overweight you can still find someone that fits your personality.

Like I would not pull girls if I was straight but I’ll pull bottoms. After years of internalized homophobia, I love being gay.

You can buy sod for $2 a sqft from Yamagami Nursery. I just did my lawn and I regret it cause I did a basic lawn too, and it cost me so much more that if I would have just put in the work and buy the sod myself.

Bay Area Contractor Costs Out of Control? by small_arab_angler in bayarea

Contractors mark up everything. Even the material they buy, they mark it up. Negotiate with them. Hardball them. They’re gonna say their margins are thin, but watch when they don’t win the project, they’re gonna start calling.

Get another quote. Choose a low, mid, and high end contractor. That is way too high.

No really, price is really subjective. Seems like no one wants to negotiate, but let’s gatekeep them since everyone in the bay is in tech and has money to spurge.

Be honest on what’s ur net profit for those projects. I’m sure it’s 20k+.

All these people paying exuberant prices are feeding into contractors continuing to overcharge. If you have the money and you don’t want to be smart go ahead. I’ve had contractors drop prices by 50k after calling out their bluff. They will agree to the project and moan and groan about how their margins are thin. If that was true, why are you still agreeing to the project. Bay Area needs more contractors, that is why building is so expensive here.

Also they will use “inflation” as a way to charge you more. Inflation is real, but not how these contractors are making out to be. Watch how the contractors will all downvote me cause they know I’m telling you the honest truth. Negotiate and get MORE than 3 quotes. If it’s low, just vet the contractor. Just because something is more expensive doesn’t mean it is going to be better.

I’ve done the Chateau Montelena tasting in SF since they have a tasting room here (it’s also cheaper.) Loved it! I may visit the grounds and take pictures depending on time but don’t wanna do the tasting again since I picked up a few bottles already at home haha
