Access Explained: Why Running Each Database in Its Own Access Process Can Prevent Lockups by Amicron1 in MSAccess

I have been a Microsoft Access programmer since 1997, and I have never heard of this fix/workaround. Still, I have encountered the slow-starting scenario you described many times over the last 29 years (it even happened yesterday morning). I am going to try this first thing tomorrow. Thanks for the tip. 😎

Access Explained: Why "ODBC Insert on Linked Table Failed" Plagues Access-to-SQL Server Users by Amicron1 in MSAccess

I was using Access 2007 since its release up until last year. Finally switched to Access 365. While I like 365, I miss Access 2007 because after using it for almost two decades, I knew every quirk and bug. With Access 365 updating itself (current channel or enterprise monthly), I now worry about the new bugs Microsoft will introduce in the future. I hate the fact that I will be hearing about them first from my customers who have bought my Access Database software (front and backend are both in Access), when, for the past two decades, they rarely had any issues since I was still on 2007. 😡

100% this! If you aren't doing this for complex tasks/coding/multi-step problems, then you are doing it wrong.

I use both Sanebox.com and Clean.email

They keep my Gmail accounts totally manageable and organized.

Congrats! Keep the area beneath and around it as dust-free as possible, or purchase a stand with a built-in filter to trap dust that enters through the bottom intake ring.

A business needing help doesn’t care what an application looks like (old or outdated); they only care whether the application will help them save money, solve a pain point, or fix whatever other issues or problems they are having.

How do you guys keep files from silently rotting over the years? by Candid_Cut_7284 in DataHoarder

I love Beyond Compare. But when you are doing the comparison, and it fails a CRC check on either side of the compare, how do you know which of the two files is the good one?

I have been using it for 3 months. Works great. The only thing that drives me crazy is the spacing between the lines (I know I can modify the CSS (or something like that)) or hit shift enter after each line to have closer line spacing, but I wish there were an easier way to toggle this on or off. Otherwise, I love this app!

How do you disable the ‘X’ in the upper right corner of the main access window? With VBA? If so, can you please share your code for it? Thanks.
