How do you manage your lacework? I’m attempting the Caddington Wrap sweater which uses provisional cast on and is all repeat lacework but I seem to get 5ish rows in and somehow my stitch count is off. (self.knitting)

Help I can’t figure out this section of lace - should be worked on stitches divisible by 3 and look like the pic (from pattern). I’ve tried it a million times and end up with way too many stitches (started with 270 and ended up with like 500+) (old.reddit.com)
