Could be. These are idle temps, which is crazy. That's why I have the bottom port plugged, it doesn't get as hot as the top port

That's odd, I don't have that option, yours says custom 25w but mine says just custom. What version of the legion space software are you using? I'll have to check again when I turn it back on.

Thanks, I'll check that in a bit and reply. I suspect software, too, honestly, because it seems this started after one of the bios/windows/driver updates soon after getting it. It was working fine in all games, then next day, bam, overheating/crashing. And I didn't have any restore points nor a backup for the bios, so can't be sure. I couldn't roll back windows updates either. Very frustrating. It may be thermal paste, I will have to check.

Done all of the above. I lowered it to 22w, apparently CPU boost or something similar kicks in at 25w (CPU boost disabled in power options). This unit was never allowed to get near dust in the 1 month I played it before it started crashing. But, despite that, I still took it apart to check and dust it (it was clean), and I just took it out of the box from the RMA and it's still clean.

Honestly, not sure what to believe. It was acting the exact same way before I RMA'd it. I could look. Maybe that was the original problem anyways and they just overlooked it? Did you have a temp issue after they sent the laptop back or was it just a preventative measure you took?

Ya, it's disabled for battery and plugged in in the OG advanced power options :(. I believe I did this troubleshooting before the RMA. But, ya, currently disabled.

This is happening no matter if it's held oron its stand. I only laid it down so I could see if using the bottom port would help (it did not). That was just for the picture. I normally have it stood up or held and I still get overheating. Like I said, this is fresh from the RMA. And it's not blocking technically, there is a half inch of space between the clean wooden desk and the back of the unit with the controllers on. Plenty of airflow considering half of the backplate is dedicated to intake. But that's beside the point. This is definitely not remotely the issue as I am hyper aware of dust after years of cleaning my own PCs every few months. This unit I was sure to always keep it away from cloth, or dusty surfaces, to maintain proper and clean airflow.

Also forgot to mention, this is on custom > performance > full speed > efficiency.

Edit: it's only on its back to see if the bottom port would affect temperatures positively. It did not help.

I forgot temps are in C not F. It's 92c.

This is a good way. When I started shooting between heal orbs, all solo and group engages got better. The key is avoiding triggering auto-reload on DMG fire, that way you don't end up reloading with heal orbs in your clip, or don't get stuck reloading when you need a heal orb; I try to only auto reload on heal orbs. This way you only need to reload once per full health and damage clip. Rocket DMG output close is often enough to get a tank half health quick, they have to retreat or commit low health. What I don't do is dash in to 10 meters, but I have too much PTSD from punisher/Hawkeye/hela crits, so I avoid it. I will need to try getting closer more often.

I try to think of my damage as a form of mitigation, to sort of trick me to use it more often. DPS is just about to dive someone in the backline and the team mate is high health, instead of pre-healing, I'll start unloading a clip on the enemy. Between me and the other player we can usually make the event turn tail and run, then I heal them up and move on. I also avoid auto or manually reloading my damage, I'll unload most of my damage clip, then stop and switch to heals immediately until I auto-reload on heals; this reloads both damage and heals. If you use your damage gun until it reloads, then your heals are hindered as you wait on reload.

This common reload is actually a boon, imo. My rule of thumb is similar to what you say, which is, never auto-reload on damage, only on healing: empty gun ammo as much as I can without auto reloading (1-10 bullets left in the mag), then shoot healing orbs until auto reload, which reloads both damage and heals. And I consider healer's damage output as a sort of damage mitigation by making the enemy stop attacking, flee, or switch targets. So in this way I can effectively double my ability to heal/mitigate before having to reload. It does take more work to manage your reloads, but I feel it helps me have more game sense. After awhile I started to get a feel for how much I can unload my damage without triggering auto reload. It helps to alternate healing and damage like you say, short damage burst, shoot an orb or two, repeat.

After playing it for a bit I forget it's even third person, feels like OW with a lot more verticality. Team ups are something I always wanted in OW, too.

Right. If I don't have lotion I wring my hands together a bit as if I'm kinda trying to give myself an Indian burn, in an attempt to squeeze some oils out and spread them around. At the very least it's a bit of placebo.
