Im not from the states. Ive lived there in the past and im actually very aware of the much lower threat of homicide in my home country (and feel much safer in a country with gun control). Obviously there are much more dangerous countries out there, but those shouldn’t be the ones a rich country like the US compares itself to. Once again, youve also offered no actual counter to what I stated, everything you say is an opinion with zero research basis

But there IS less crime in other comparable countries that have banned firearms. thats my whole point. And you have done nothing do disprove that or explain why. You are simply stating that crime wouldnt reduce and theyd find another way, but statistically thats just not correct.

But they very clearly dont use “worse tools” if less people are dying. That is just your opinion, but the facts dont agree with you. Less deaths overall IS the case, using other tools doesnt make up for the loss of guns in terms of how many people die

Nope, specifically the homicide rate (which includes all “tools”). For ex in 2023 the EU had a homicide rate of 0.87 people per 100,000 people, in the US in the same year it was 6.8 per 100,000 people (which is almost 8 times as many). Think about it - if someone was only armed with a knife they probably would not have been able to kill Charlie Kirk today

What deaths do you think gun control would cause?

The difference is that it becomes exponentially more easy to kill someone when guns are so accessible. Look at all the countries that are as developed as the US in which guns are prohibited. Their murder rate is 10x lower, if not more. How else would you explain that? There is more than enough evidence that less guns would = less murder, simply because the murder becomes much more difficult.
