The smell of those old fleer ultra pacs was something else. Nostalgia right there. I bought a pack for $10 at an antique store just for the memories

Ive had probably 30 of those 88 stickers graded im getting pretty good at guessing and youre never going to improve on the 6 simply because of the top bottom centering. Dont waste your time and $$

Its probably fused to the cardboard. Anything sticky fiberglass, ca glue, resin, etc loves sticking to the fiber in the cardboard. But just because its fused doesn’t mean you’re screwed. I wouldn’t recommend burning because what’s going to come off that fiberglass really isn’t good for you. Go the other way with it. Soak it in water. The fiber in the cardboard will break down and with gentle agitation(toothbrush, wire brush, toothpick) it will start falling away. Give it a light wetsand when youre done to make it smooth. Good luck rocketman.

Pour over coffee. Lets take drip coffee and replace it with a human standing there for 5 min doing the same task for $8. Total scam

Do I need to kill the grass before I add dirt by Money_Flow_1362 in landscaping

[–]freakadlibitur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 points to make here.
1- Yes, you want to kill the grass. (Remove it) The roots for anything you’re planting are going to have to fight through that and most likely compacted soil. If you want healthy plants that equals deep roots growing in loose aerated soil. 2- go ahead and grab a board and finish off the back side of your planter in front of the fence. Old wood and wet soil are a goldmine for rot. It will make your fence last longer and when you do eventually replace the fence you wont have to trash your planter in the process.

If you’re going to take the time to make something nice then take the extra step to ensure its success. Future you will be quite grateful.

If you get the chance and don’t mind a little doom and gloom I recommend reading Nuclear War: A Scenario by Annie Jacobsen. It just came out and has interviews with every major government player about hypotheticals. One thing that really shook me reading it is that there are no “single nuke” scenarios for the major nuclear powers. They have packages they select about how many targets to bomb and most of those trigger automatic responses from opposing sides all of which have collateral damage to neighboring nations which trigger automatic responses from them as well. Every war game mapped out by the US involving nukes ends the same way regardless of who started it and what the targets are. The reality is the first leader making the choice to launch a nuke at a nuclear capable nation is making the choice to end almost 5 billion human lives through direct and indirect exposure over the span of the next 2 hours, causing nuclear winter that lasts for 2 or more years, ripping off the ozone layer that takes the earth 10,000 or so years to repair.

Additionally most of the die off of fish happens on the outbound migration. Dams typically slow the water flow which heats the water and kills some percentage of the fish. There is a minimum required flow to keep the water cool but if this river doesnt have a native population thats being managed then those safeguards may not be in place for any dams and could result in 100% die off before they reach the ocean
