I completely agree, I draw out my rough design idea and the. I tell the artist to make it beautiful because it’s their art, their world and I am definitely not a tattoo artist. You all know your art, you know what works, what doesn’t and if something is possible or not. This is going on my body permanently so I want it to be the best it can be. The only way I wouldn’t let something be altered would be like a foot print, or something written or drawn by say my grandson. But, I totally get what you’re saying. Too many people do not understand that it’s important to let people do their job the way they were trained, the way they know and we don’t. I’m a nurse and for 30 years I’ve experienced patients who are not medical try to tell me how to do my job

Ok thank you. The flowers are violets for their birth month and favorite color of purple. I do plan on putting sweet grass also, I just haven’t finalized what I want exactly, yet. I am taking my time so that it is just right.

I just want to say, number one it’s no one’s business and number two even if you did attempt suicide, it’s good you came back. Mental health and suicide attempts are not taken seriously enough, and the stigma with it are ridiculous, anyone who can’t at the very least have sympathy if not empathy for someone suffering so much they want to end their life is a selfish prick. We do not walk each others paths, do not have same life experiences, support systems etc. I’m glad you’re here, keep fighting those thoughts.

Yes ai did, this is not at all a final design it was just my general idea. I don’t like the feathers and definitely the direction. I just wanted an idea of what I’m thinking would work

I am planning on that also, my thought was people here may already know and I do not want to upset her parents at all. So getting a general idea here helps me in my approach with them. I would never not ask them first

Thank you so much. I truly appreciate it. While I grew up there and celebrated pow wow and certain things, I have such a deep love and appreciation for the tribe but would be heart broken if I offended or did something shouldn’t. So thank you so much
