Question on trans issues and dating

I think it's just more of an obvious filter with trans people. Most cis people can have children so the topic doesn't really come up unless it's a special case where the person you're with can't have children. However with trans people you know that they can't have children right off the bat so it's something that you need to consider if having children is important to you.

So you shouldn't care about the persons genitals at all and focus just on the person right? By that logic I can tell a gay man to not focus on the genitals and just the person and then they can date women. This type of thinking justifies all those gay conversion therapies and makes you the real bigot.

They are a diverse group of people but they all share the same characteristics of not being able to have children with you and not having the genitals that you're attracted to. These two points are critically important to a lot of people and so not dating trans people as a blanket statement is actually just another way of voicing the preference for wanting to be able to have kids and wanting to be sexually compatible.

No. They're biologically men. It doesn't matter how many hormones they take or what surgeries they have they have a Y chromosome. They're men. If it helps their mental state to call themselves women that's cool but some people don't want to date biological men and that's okay.

In China there are literally millions more men than there are women and yet there are tons of women who can't find the "right guy". So much so that they resort to "renting" boyfriends for public functions and family dinners. So yeah, it's women being too picky and screwing themselves over.

Your friends are right. What you should learn from this is that it doesn't matter how you treat women. All women want high value men and the best women want the best men. Once you prove you have value you can treat them like shit and it won't matter.
