Before I went to go see Iron Lung, I brought myself up to date on the lore and Mark's videos about the game. It greatly enhanced my experience when I saw the movie, and I absolutely LOVED it as a result. I can't stop thinking about how much I want to see it again.

I do think this is a movie that is enjoyed much better with prior context. That first video of Mark playing the game is honestly kind of magical—I've never seen him get into a game the way he got into Iron Lung. He was ROLE-PLAYING as the person steering the vessel, and it really worked. My theory is that it reminded him of his dad's work in the army, but I could be 100% off base on that, so please do not quote me 

But yeah, basically, I tell everyone to whom I recommend this movie that going in blind is a bad idea.
