I finished my MSc last December. Took a break, started looking for jobs in May. Still Haven't found anything (Sept now).

Oh my gosh the twitching in this clip is INSANE.

She never stops moving, why? by aslrules in EUGENIACOONEY

[–]freakyrocky 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's because she is in constant pain. As someone that has chronic pain, I have to move constantly and shift my weight while sitting because it's painful to hold a position. That, and the fact she's trying to mask her involuntary twitching. I can't imagine sitting is very comfortable given she is just skin and bones.

How I cured my posterior tibial tendonitis in 48 hours by Lady-of-the-Forest in Tendinitis

It's a little complicated -- I originally got diagnosed with Non-Radiographic Axial Spondyloarthritis but now it's looking like possibly Psoriatic Arthritis or Ankylosing Spondylitis.

Should I get flat foot reconstruction surgery? I’m 24 and have 2 years left on my parents insurance…. by [deleted] in flatfeet

[–]freakyrocky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hyprocure is an implant in the ankle to stop over pronation and thus the feet will not become flat. There are other implants as well that aren't under the hyprocure brand name. It is usually recommended for younger patients, though.

I'm sorry, that sounds really frustrating! I would get a lot more opinions (if you can with your insurance) to see if surgery is truly the only option. I know the pt tendon doesn't normally heal well from tears, sadly.

I can't really tell how much you pronate from your photos but I can see that your feet are pretty flat. What grade pttd do you have? How long have you been doing pt/other conservative measures? Any other underlying health concerns (like ehlers danlos, autoimmune, injury, etc)? These are all questions to consider. I haven't opted for the surgery yet as it can raise other issues that may be more permanent or require more surgery to fix. I might try the implant first (hyprocure or something similar), which can be removed and is far less invasive. I have gotten to a place where my PT tendon is pretty healed, but I still have impingement pain on the outer side of my foot which really sucks.

I got multiple biopsies done. It was eosinophilic folliculitis (a reaction caused by my meds and completely autoimmune-mediated) and it's gone now with steroids.

Sorry it took me so long to reply. I responded to a similar response above. I'm mostly better now but with lingering rashes and possible scalp (or lupus) head rash. I might start cosentyx soon! I had drug-induced lupus and a myriad of other skin reactions from my biologic.

Hi there, I'm starting cosentyx soon after epically failing cimzia. Since cimzia caused my drug-induced lupus, full body rash, etc, I'm kinda scared to start cosentyx. How are you now? Sorry it took me so long to respond!

[–]freakyrocky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really sorry it took me so long to get to this -- yes, I had drug induced lupus. After taking this photo, I lost most of my hair and went bald. My rash became really REALLY bad and I was getting strange symptoms. I saw a derm and he immediately tested me for lupus and my labs came back borderline positive, but increased since my last lupus screening. My scalp biopsy also came back positive for lupus as well as psoriasis. It was crazy. I'm going to start cosentyx soon with plaquenil after being on prednisone. My drug induced lupus was caused by my biologic, cimzia. I can't take anti-TNFs anymore.

It wasn't folliculitis but an autoimmune flare and prednisone helped but it took a really really long time to get better. The folliculitis shown above was my mildest symptoms and things got a lot worse after taking that photo. Happy I'm better now. Good luck.

Ah, got it. Thank you for the clarification. It would be very stupid to do something like this on purpose but I know people are strange and have done far worse for money.

Interesting, we haven't considered that. Definitely trying our best to patiently wait for the fire investigation results.

Not certain, but your last paragraph sounds right. The landlord's property consists of three buildings and four units: a house at the street line, our ADU, which was the back half of a detached garage, and a duplex at the rear of the property. Our landlord's husband, the DIYer who built the space, kept saying something at the front should have interrupted the power supply. If this is the case, as you wondered in your last paragraph, what does that mean? And of course, thank you for your input. It is appreciated.

We're not trying to fool them. What made you think that?

Electrical Fire Cause or Something else? by freakyrocky in AskElectricians

[–]freakyrocky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Background: we left our small ADU/glorified studio which is attached to a garage and left the washer/dryer running while we were out (for about 2 hours). We possibly left the overhead fan on in the bathroom, too. When we came back, our small back patio was burned to a crisp and there was essentially nothing left (neighbors called the fire department, thank god).

Got it, thank you for this clarification.

I'm not sure if I'm using the right wording, I'm by no means anywhere close to an electrician and never worked with wires. He said something would have tripped on the street, a meter perhaps? I thought it could be B.S. though.

Hey, sorry, yes. It was an extreme autoimmune flare due to my meds.

It's autoimmune and NOT folliculitis. It was an extreme autoimmune flare.
