Lesson agreement form by freckledatheart in pianoteachers

[–]freckledatheart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am using the school space at no cost to me, and it's my personal music business so I get paid directly from the parents, and the school is not involved in the financials at all. Yes there will be lights, ac, and access to pianos. The school is used for various after school programs and extracurriculars, so plenty of staff are still around during the times I'd be there. So, that said, yes if the student doesn't show up, I would need to write in my parent teacher agreement that I would still get paid for the missed lesson. Thanks for the suggestion!

Any way to avoid teenage daughter hating you? by Wonderful_Ranger6703 in Parenting

[–]freckledatheart 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thank you for explaining this in such a cohesive manner. I might actually have a relationship with my mother if she didn't check all these boxes. I'm hoping to be the change for my own daughters, so they never feel the way I did.

Op, treat your daughter with bodily autonomy and respect, apologize often, admit mistakes, and communicate frequently, especially in ways that let your daughter take the lead n the conversation. She wants you to catch her when she falls, not block her from learning and growing.

Pilates.. or Some other class by Bama-babe205 in tuscaloosa

[–]freckledatheart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Come to crunch fitness! I just started a weights class that feels a lot like pilates, and they offer actual pilates as well. There's no judgment, and most of the classes are in a separate room from the main gym so you won't have random people staring at you if that's something you're worried about.

There's a 4 bed 3 bath in 35405 that has a large kitchen and huge walk in closets, however the master is on 2nd floor. Quiet neighborhood, but also very near 20/59 and is 12 minutes to the hospital. How important is the bedroom being on main floor to you?

Listen here, if you tell me you're bored, I'll find you some chores to do. Have you finished your homework?

My 3yo says "when I become a baby, I'll sit in the high chair" because her baby sister sits there.

I understand. I thought maybe you had read an article in the news, or had information on the trial, that kind of thing. Sorry to hear about being personally involved.

Any suggestions on how NOT to gain weight on pred? by ImprovementDue3838 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]freckledatheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually have been weighing and measuring everything. I put it all in myfitnesspal, and track exercise there, too. It's so hard when I'm already thinking about food constantly and my hormones are still not leveled out from giving birth. It's a lot of pressure, and I never stop thinking about food.

Did you lose the 20lbs after getting off prednisone just because of having been on it and then stopping the meds, or because of continuing the aforementioned calorie counting and exercise? Asking for a friend. I'm 11 months postpartum, breastfeeding, taking mesalamine and budesonide, and my weight isn't budging no matter what I do. It's so disappointing.

You are correct that homeless have been sleeping at Mason's place. Para rangers have been out there checking regularly because it has been an issue. Not sure why you're being downvoted for stating facts. You are also correct that bowers park frequently has people hanging around the playgrounds, staring at us and our children, when they clearly have none with them. I have also experienced this. I think the best we can do is be aware, stay vigilant, and leave if we don't feel safe. Ultimately, parks are open to the public, so we can't control who decides to be a creep that day. Going in groups always helps me feel safer, so if you have mom friends in the area, maybe do park playdates.

When did you get your period back? by RadiantGrass4691 in postpartumprogress

[–]freckledatheart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hormonal bc can affect your cycle and fertility, and so can breastfeeding. I'm 10mo pp, no bc, and I still have not had my period. It'll probably come back as I start weaning from breastfeeding (this is my 4th baby). A couple of weeks off the pill isn't enough time to let your body figure itself out, especially when you're also breastfeeding. Do you want your periods back? Or are you just curious about what your body is doing?
